An Hour Later.

     An Hour Later.

Shall I tell it as crudely as it happened, or should I sugar-coat the story to make it more palatable?Hello, I am called Shona and a novel called, An Hour Too Soon? has been written about me. Why? Well, back to 1994 and at 17 I was not a party-goer, nor did I drink. Weekends, back then, I spent as a volunteer at a cat’s home. Weekdays, I studied for a life that, little did I know at the time, I was never going to have. It was, to the casual observer, just mundane family life – well, almost. People see what they want to see. To my friends and family I had a lot but dark thoughts and dark deeds about events, true or false, make up my story. Some of these thoughts have been recorded in An Hour Later, a book available for free. And who is the Shona who tells this story?

A kidnapping? An earthquake? A presidential assassination attempt? Even the scary wildfires she watches on TV, raging in nearby Los Angeles, seem like they would liven things up. Her parents are safely at work. But in an instant the fire expands and threatens everything Danna and the other Pinch Canyon residents hold dear.  In an action-packed hour and a half, minute by minute, the wildfires will alter the lives of everyone who lives and works in Pinch Canyon—including seventeen-year-old Elony, a recent immigrant, and her young charge, Geoffrey; handsome teenager Beau Severyn and his awkward little sister, Elisabeth; and the firefighters themselves. This ebook features an illustrated biography of Caroline B.
