Wrath of a Side Chick 3: A Chicago Hood Drama (Side Chick's Wrath), Page 2

“Naw,” Breon said, shaking his head. “That’s all right, though. He prolly went out lookin’ for us or some shit, but he don’t really know where to look and shit. I told Wayne and Jayron to watch they back. I feel like I woulda heard from them by now if Dante went over there and fucked with them again.” He pulled his phone out and checked, seeing that he had no missed alerts of any kind. “We gon’ get that nigga, sooner or later. That nigga you know said that this nigga is slippery, but we gon’ get him and shit. He ain’t that damn slippery and shit.”

“Feel you on that,” Ray said.

Ray drove back to his place and pulled into the parking lot. He and Breon had gone over the idea of dropping the guns back off at Nikki’s house, but they decided to take the risk of keeping them at Ray’s house for the night. They would look for Dante again tomorrow night, knowing that the streets would talk enough sooner or later – the information would seep out of the streets as to how to find Dante. All they had to do was wait and listen.

After putting the guns in Ray’s apartment, Breon felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He and Ray both froze at the same moment, Ray waiting to see who was calling just as much as Breon. Breon pulled his phone out of his pocket to see. It was Trina.

  CHAPTER 2

This was almost like a movie for Nikki; however, it was the kind of movie in which she never thought she’d have a starring role. Just moments ago, she’d taken the guns in the box out to Breon as he waited for her on the sidewalk. Within what seemed like only a few quick minutes later, there were three men at her door. They had forced their way inside and grabbed her before she could even get far enough away from the front door to come up with a plan. In some ways, she was angry, not only at Breon but also at Gracelyn. Nikki found it incredibly hard to believe that Gracelyn hadn’t heard anything long enough for those men to come in and kidnap her in her own living room.

The cold air stung. Dressed in her sleep clothes, she simply was not dressed for it. As she was walked under a light in the parking lot, she looked down to see her chest. Her nipples were practically hard as rocks, protruding in her t-shirt since she was not wearing a bra. With little concern for how she was feeling, the three men had practically thrown her into the back of the van, face first. Landing on her stomach, with her legs and ass jiggling upon impact, Nikki quickly turned over. Just as she did, the door of the green van closed. The light of the streetlight outside of her apartment disappeared as they pulled out of the parking lot.

“What the fuck is goin’ on?” Nikki asked, yelling and clearly distraught. “Where the fuck are y’all takin’ me?”

The space where Nikki lay was where the second backseat would be, if had not been taken out. In front of her, sitting in the other backseat, was the younger of the three guys. The older guys sat in the front seat, looking at one another.

“Shut the fuck up, bitch,” the younger guy said. “You gon’ be okay. We don’t want you and shit. That’s not what we after.”

“What you talkin’ about?” Nikki asked. As she looked into the younger one’s eyes, she could see something. Something about him was telling her that he was different. Sure, he had helped the older two rush into her apartment and kidnap her in the middle of the night. However, something about him let her know that he was just along for the ride. Even from the back of the van, though, Nikki would pick up on a sinister vibe coming from the two in the front seats. The look in their eyes said it all.

“Well, look what we got here,” the man in the front passenger seat – Dante – said. “We done fucked around and got the nigga’s chick.”

“Yup,” the man driving – Edric – said. He nodded his head and giggled. “And she a sexy little thing.”

“Sure is,” Dante said. “That bitch got a fat ass.”

Hearing the two men talk about her body made Nikki incredibly uncomfortable. Normally, she would bask in the attention she got from men, but being held captive changed all of that. At this point, Nikki was simply trying to understand why she was being taken from her apartment. She didn’t have any real enemies who would do anything like this.

Dante turned around and looked toward the back of the van. He licked his lips as he looked Nikki up and down. “Hey there,” he said, smiling.

Nikki crawled even further into the back of the van. At first, she’d thought about jumping out and taking her chances with the road. However, the van had turned onto the interstate. As their speed increased, getting closer to sixty miles an hour, Nikki could feel her heart beating fast. She felt trapped, as if she had no way out.

“You got whose chick?” Nikki asked. “Who the fuck is you talkin’ bout? What the fuck do you want with me?” She looked at each of their faces and tried to place them. Did I used to work with one of them? She asked herself. Did I fuck one of them, maybe? None of their faces look familiar.

“You that nigga Breon’s chick and shit, bitch,” Dante said. “Don’t try to play dumb with us, bitch. You ain’t got shit to worry about. We not really after you. We gon’ take good care of you and shit. All you gotta do is help us get that nigga, and your life is gon’ be just fine.”

“Breon’s chick?” Nikki asked, clearly surprised at hearing such a thing. “I don’t know him like that. We just met back up last week at this nigga’s party over on the south side.”

“Don’t talk to me like I’m stupid,” Dante said, allowing the anger to come out in his voice. “Bitch, we sat out in that parking lot and watched you hand the nigga a box and shit. We know you know the nigga.” He looked at her hips and thighs. “You really expect me to believe that that nigga Breon ain’t hittin’ that shit. You think I’m stupid, don’t you?”

Just then, Nikki very much regretted helping Breon. It all still didn’t make sense, as she was wondering how they managed to carry her into the night rather than going after Breon. She still didn’t know who these men were, and, more importantly, where they were taking her. When Nikki was able to look out at the highway, the cluster of skyscrapers that made up the glowing downtown Chicago were further and further away as they moved.

“Oh my God!” Nikki yelled, as scenarios from numerous scary movies raced through her mind. “Where are y’all takin’ me?”

Frantically, not caring if she died by jumping out onto the cold highway, Nikki pulled at the back door handles. To her disappointment, the double doors would not open. When she turned and looked back at the three men, she found a gun pointing at her from the one in the front passenger seat.

“Cause more problems than you worth and we will cause a problem for you, okay?” he said. “Just calm the fuck down with your big booty self and everything is gon’ be okay. We only fifteen minutes away now. Make this hard for us and see what really happens to you.”

Taking a deep breath, Nikki calmed down as she sulked into a corner in the darkness.

  “Okay,” she said.

The three men then looked ahead as the van continued driving. Ten minutes passed and they pulled off of the highway. When the van crossed under stoplights at various intersections, Nikki recognized some of the street names. She knew that at very least, she was on the far west side of Chicago before coming to the suburbs. After turning onto Sacramento, the ride was relatively smooth and quiet. Nikki couldn’t help but wonder where she was going, and what would be waiting for her there when she arrived.

The van turned down a residential street before turning down an alley. Driving cautiously, as to not get stuck in the snow, Edric slowly accelerated down the dark alley. On either side of them were small, cookie cutter, one-car garages. Once he came to the yellow and blue garage, he turned into the bit of yard to the side of the building. He carved out a parking spot then came to a stop.

  “We here,” he said.

Dante looked around, thinking about what Edric had said about this house belonging to his incarcerated brother, who was Trell’s father. “And you sure we not gon’ have to worry about nobody comin’ over here and stuff, nigga?” Dante asked. “You k
now we gotta get this nigga Breon for what he did to me and shit, and I know this hoe we got in the back know just how to find his ass.”

Listening carefully, Nikki couldn’t help but feel confused. She was trying to think of what Breon could possibly be involved in, and how her name would even be connected to his when he’d only given her some of the dick a couple of times over the last several days. It was all just not making any sense.

The three men jumped out of the car, chuckling as they carried on a conversation about some of the things that used to go down in Trell’s daddy’s house. When the back doors to the van opened, Nikki had changed sides. Her back was now to the back of the first backseat. With terrified eyes, she looked at the three smiling men when the doors opened. Bitter, cold wind rushed in. Nikki grabbed her arms and rubbed them as cold filled her body.

“Come on here, bitch!” Dante said, smiling. He leaned into the back of the van and playfully slapped Nikki’s hips. His eyes looked glazed over as he watched her thickness jiggle from his touch. “Damn, you thick,” he complimented Nikki. “Come on before we spill your blood and shit out in this snow. Come on. We ain’t got all fuckin’ night and shit. Remember what I told you, okay? Don’t make this any harder than it has to be.”

Reluctantly, Nikki scooted forward and jumped out of the car. She felt vulnerable as the doors to the van closed. The three men surrounded her. Wind rushed down the alley, causing Nikki to turn her back. Everything was so dark. Next thing she knew, someone grabbed her arm, and she was being pulled along the side of the garage and toward the back of a house.

With Edric leading the way, he glanced back at Trell. “You ain’t had no hoes over to your daddy’s house and shit, stealin’ or nothin’ like that, have you?” he asked.

Trell looked at his burly uncle. “Naw,” he answered, shaking his head. “Last person to come over here was Kyree, and that was when he came up from Atlanta.”

Edric let them into the two-story, four-bedroom Victorian house. Scared for her life, Nikki went into the house, as she couldn’t take the cold anymore. Stepping with the men into a somewhat outdated kitchen, Nikki practically jumped when the back door slammed. She was now inside of this house, not exactly sure what street she was on. When the three men congregated in front of her, she ducked back into a corner. There, she pulled her cell phone out of her pocket as they talked. Moving slowly and very casually, she pushed the phone into the back of her pants. There, she pushed it between her fat thighs and held it there, knowing that when she walked, it wouldn’t be able to fall out.

Dante turned and looked at Nikki. “What room y’all think we should keep her in, especially since y’all know the house betta than I do?” he asked, having just heard the details.

“I would say the basement if it wasn’t so fuckin’ cold and shit outside, but since we don’t know how long we gon’ have her here, we don’t want her to freeze and shit,” Edric said.

  “Naw, we don’t,” Dante said.

“One of the bedrooms upstairs would prolly be best,” Edric said. “Plus, ain’t no way for her to get out from up there without us hearing and stuff. If we put her down in the basement and shit, she could crawl up outta one of them windows, and we wouldn’t even know it.”

“Okay,” Dante said. “Let’s get her up there ‘cause I wanna get in touch with this nigga Breon.”

Nikki, still trying to make sense of the idea that she might be in this strange house for several days, if not longer, was forced to head up the stairs by the younger of the three men. She looked at the house, as it was obvious that nobody lived there at the moment. The furniture looked untouched. Nikki could see that the stair rail was dusty as she headed up the stairs. She could feel the eyes of the two older men staring at her ass as she climbed. It felt so uncomfortable.

Following the younger, skinnier guy, Nikki was led into a medium-sized bedroom at the back of the house, where she hurried to the other side of the room. While her efforts were futile, it still helped her to feel better knowing that there was at least some space between her and her captors. She looked at them with questioning eyes.

Just as Dante was about to open his mouth, he’d felt Edric tap his shoulder. He pulled his hungry eyes away from the bodacious thickness that was Nikki’s body and directed his attention toward Edric.

“Nigga, what about Leelah and Daysha?” Edric asked, referring to the two chicks they’d been entertaining before they had to rush out into the night.

“What about them hoes?” Dante asked, not having thought about either of them for more than two seconds since going on their late night chase.

“Man, you know they gon’ be callin’ askin’ when we gon’ take them back home and shit,” Edric said.

“Nigga, who the fuck is you supposed to be?” Dante asked. “What? The damn thot patrol or somethin’? Fuck them hoes. All they was good for was suckin’ dick. We get to them when we done here and shit.” He looked back at the lovely, thick female that they’d taken captive and smiled. “We need to talk to this bitch, first.”

Nikki tried to put on a tough face as she looked at the three men.

“What the fuck was in that box?” Dante asked, stepping forward.

“He asked me to keep something,” Nikki responded. “That’s all. I swear I don’t know what the fuck is goin’ on and stuff with that nigga. I just met him.”

“Bitch, I ain’t ask you about all that,” Dante said. “I asked you what the fuck was in that box. Don’t act like you don’t fuckin’ know. We watched you come out and hand him the box. And we know you know him, ‘cause I saw that way you was lookin’ at him when he walked up on that sidewalk. I know he breakin’ you off with some dick or somethin’ and got you thinkin’ all kinds of crazy. Now, tell me… What the fuck was in that box you handed to that nigga?”

Realizing that she had nothing to lose by answering the question, and how she needed to think about herself for the sake of survival, she forced the words out of her mouth. “Guns,” she answered. “I don’t know what kinda guns.”

“And what was you doin’ with them?” Dante asked.

“I don’t know,” Nikki said, not realizing what she was saying. “I mean,” she said, trying to find the words, “he just came over and asked me to hold them last night. He didn’t tell me why or nothin’ like that. I swear, I don’t know. He said he didn’t want his chick to find them.”

“His chick?” Dante asked. His eyes lit up as he smiled. He then looked at Edric and Trell before looking back at Nikki. “So you just his side chick, huh?”

Nikki shook her head, as she didn’t consider herself a full-blown side chick. “Naw,” she said.

“Then what the fuck is you?” Dante asked. “You fuckin’ the nigga or what?”

Nikki shrugged her shoulders. “I mean, yeah,” she answered.

“But the nigga got a chick?” Dante asked.

Nikki nodded, not wanting to say anything.

“So, bitch, like I said,” Dante said, “you that nigga’s fuckin’ side chick.” He looked her up and down. “The nigga sure got good taste and shit. You thicka than a snicker.”

Nikki looked at her body. For the first time in her life, she felt self-conscious about it. However, it was also the first time in her life where she’d been held captive in a strange bedroom by three crazy men.

“What the fuck do you want with me?” Nikki asked. “I told you what I know. I used to go to high school with the nigga back when we was teenagers and shit. I went to party last week, on Friday night and shit, and we met there. I only been knowin’ him since then, so I really ain’t got nothin’ to do with whatever is goin’ on with y’all. What y’all wanna get at Breon for? What did he do to you or whatever?”

“I’mma ask the questions,” Dante said. He then looked at Edric as he thought about what to do next. “Let me talk to you real quick downstairs and shit so we can figure out what we gon’ do. We got the nigga’s side chick, not his real chick. That changes everything.” He paused and
glanced at Nikki. “Maybe,” he added. Dante then looked at Trell. “Watch this bitch,” he told him, “until we get back up here, okay. If she try to make a run for it, do somethin’ stupid, you got my permission to shoot her in her leg or somethin’, okay?”

Trell nodded as Dante and his uncle Edric headed downstairs. Within seconds, he was alone in the room with Nikki. She looked into his face, noticing how he looked like a boyish version of the rapper Fabolous, but his complexion was darker. Still, even as he watched her, Nikki felt like he really wasn’t as bad as he let on. He really did seem to be going with the flow.

“What they got you doin’ this shit for?” Nikki asked, cracking a bit of a smile.

“What you mean?” Trell asked. “What you mean what they got me doin’ this shit for?”

Nikki put on her bedroom eyes as she sat down on the bed, putting a bit of an arch in her back. “Just what I said,” she responded, putting a bit of a ghetto tone in her voice. “I can tell you not really into this like that. Why you doin’ this shit? How you get hooked up in this shit?”

Trell shrugged and glanced back toward the staircase, out in the hallway. He could faintly hear his uncle and Dante talking downstairs. “The bigger nigga is my uncle and shit,” he responded. “And I work with him when they got shit for me to do.”

“I know you be havin’ your girl worried,” Nikki said.

Trell hesitated. Only in his late teens, he had missed the years of walking the hallways at school. However, since dropping out of high school at sixteen years old, he’d been messing with a lot more hood chicks. His luck had not been on his side, at least within the hookup culture.

“Ain’t got one,” Trell said. “Why you say that?”

“’Cause,” Nikki said, seeing that her words were slowly hitting a sore spot in the dude’s heart. “You seem like you nice and stuff, like the kind of dude that I would mess around with. I can hear it in your voice. That’s why I’m surprised that you even takin’ part in somethin’ like this.”
