  Have you ever felt like giving up? Heaven knows I have. I will let you in on a few secrets which have kept me going, beyond faith in God and scripture; I have always admired the greats. I am referring to the masters of literature. They have had words which humbled me and made me want to keep trying. The list of works I love and have depended on during those dark, lonely nights is too great to even be considered here. I have chosen two which are outstanding and have filled me with hope for different reasons.

  The first by Edmund Vance Cooke explains itself and I will not try to add or detract from it by any comment of mine now. Enjoy it as I have for years.
