Who Should Play Bo Brady on DAYS?
Sources at DAYS insist the serial will not recast one of its signature roles but in case they change their mind, UNCENSORED laid down on our casting couch to see who could ride a motorcycle as good as Peter Reckell.
1.Jon Hensley: This WORLD TURNS hunk shot to fame as Holden at the same time Reckell did. Hensley not only gorgeous but he’s one fine actor. And DAYS needs all the top drawer acting talent it can get these days with everyone bolting.
2.Robert Kelker Kelly: Not likely since he reportedly feuded with the show’s top brass and leading lady Kristian Alfonso but RKK is regarded as the best recast in daytime history.
3.Michael Easton: He’s been on DAYS before, and despite being a tad young for the part, his dark, moody appeal could make Bo more of an anti-hero again.
4.James Hyde: He may not look like Reckell, but the former PASSIONS hunk is no slouch in the hero and looks department.
5.Brian Bloom: This WORLD TURNS alum has the dark hair and beautiful eyes to make Bo his own.
6.Hank Cheyne: He hasn’t been on daytime since SUNSET BEACH… and this former on-screen hero could infuse new energy into the part.
7.Mark Derwin: Sure, he’s on SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER, but actors often pull double duty. As one part of a GL super-couple, Harley and Mallet, Derwin is no stranger to rabid fan bases.
8.Timothy Gibbs: The Emmy-nominated ONE LIFE and AW actor hasn’t been seen in forever. Maybe now it’s time he returns to soaps.
9.Tom Eplin: This former daytime bad boy has been deeply missed and could bring a new edge to Bo Brady.
10.Keith Hamilton Cobb: Hey, if a black actor can play Hamlet…
