  Love’s Abyss

  You were there,

  amongst the shadows

  I was a fool.

  I ventured into darkness

  alone, lost.

  I thought you my savior.

  I only saw your mask.

I hid from my fears, behind you.

  You lead me astray,

  into a life of crime

  and meaningless passion.

  You said I couldn’t live,

  because I knew too much.

You had been waiting for this day.

  As I lay there,

  I thought I saw emotion

  in your eyes,

  before the knife plunged.

  Therapy

I have killed in my short lifetime,

even though I’m just a kid.

I enjoyed every step of it.

  I really truly did.

They sent me to this hospital.

Where I could get some care.

But all I could think of

  was every single scare.

  The doctors wouldn’t give up.

Others said I was just a lost cause.

  Still I did not listen

and I broke all of their laws.

When they were just about to give up,

  I made a startling change.

My thoughts of death grew less and less,

just like the full moon wanes.

  The doctors had won

and they were really quite proud.

No one even gave a thought

to a single white death shroud.

It’s been a while since I first came here.

I’ve changed for good they said.

  Shows you what they know,

for now they are all dead.

  Cold One

  I am the Cold One

  I feed upon you

I rob you of your warmth

I rob you of your soul

  I make you love me

You think I am here only for you

But I am the Cold One

  An ice princess

And I use you for your warmth

You take my cold hands into your warm ones

And you hold me to stop the shivers

But soon you are the cold one

  With the ice cold hands

And for a brief moment in time

  My palms are hot

  With the stolen warmth

  Of your body

I leave you, cold and alone

An icicle in a December’s morning

  I freeze your heart

Then shatter it into millions of ice slivers

  I am the Cold One

And I care for no one

  Except the cold

  Oblivion’s Flame

  Darkness descends

  sucking out the light

  the time is now

  while there is no tomorrow

  Cold be heart

  and the world will burn

  and we all go down

and light little candles of our own

  Losing your way

  and finding no hope

as the last pages are turned

the battle has yet to begun

we will not find our way back

  darkness corrodes the heart

  and tampers the soul

  and we all go down

and light little candles of our own

Fear escalates as the clock ticks

  knowing we can’t go back

but too afraid to move forward

  night encourages the loneliness

as it shifts and takes hold

the tears have fallen and the moon is dead

  and we all go down

and light little candles of our own

Cries sound out and plague the land

a sad story has come to the end

it’s all different now as we till the Sorrow

the night is calling as we fade to black

and we fall through fire, darkness and ash

  and the rest go down

and light little candles of their own

  Found

  Beyond Reality

  Face it

  School crossing

  No fear?

  Bodies in motion

  Free knowledge, Infinite knowledge

  You can help

  Speed limit!

  Yield! Yield!

  Go! Walk, walk

  Stop!

  Wrong way!

  No right turns

  No U turns

  Merge, right?

  Cold December

  I look out the window

And watch the sunlight dance on the snow

It reminds me of the twinkle in your eye

  Nothing I do

  Makes me closer to you

So I cry in my frozen holiday

  I make a wish

And hope it will come true

And pray for the one thing I need

There’s only one thing I want under my tree

To warm this heart of mine

  Oh, St. Nick

  Please deliver

I don’t think I can make it alone

I’ve been good all year long

You know what is on the top of my list

Cause I don’t want another cold December

  The tree has been trimmed

  And my stocking is hung

And I’m standing by this open fire

  But I think of you

  And what I don’t have

And the tears fall like snowflakes

  On my cheeks

  Peace on earth

  Good will to all men

As they stroll with their sweethearts through the snow

  My heart is numb

  As I trudge home

  Everyone’s got someone this Christmas

  Why don’t I have you?

  Oh, St. Nick

  Please deliver

I don’t think I can make it alone

I’ve been good all year long

You know what is on the top of my list

Cause I don’t want another cold December

  Dark clouds pack the sky

  A blizzard’s headed this way

  Oh, please

  Brighten this holiday

  Oh, St. Nick

  Please deliver

I don’t think I can make it alone

I’ve been good all year long

You know what is on the top of my list

Cause I don’t want another cold December

  Dark Repast

  Swiftly, silently

  Searching…

  As hunger takes hold

  It grips the mind

  And shatters the soul

  Heart quickens…

  As feet take flight

  Chasing, stalking

  Teeth bared

  White flashes in dark

  The hunter

  Over comes

  The prey

  Tearing, shredding

  Screams fill the air

  Glowing eyes dance

  As the feast is begun

  Drops of crimson

  Paint the night

  Claws slice

  Tongue savors

  The thirst is now sated

  It withdraws…

  Swiftly, silently
/>
  Waiting once again

For another human to pass by

  Questions In The Night

If I was to tell you

of the pain I hold inside

would you turn to me and smile

like a soulless clown in the night

If I was to tell you

  how you’ve hurt me so

  would you stop and laugh

like glass shattering in the dark

If I was to tell you

  about the silent fears inside

  would you jump for joy

like the dark shadow playing in my mind

I ask you about all the unknowns

because I can’t face the truth

  what you would do

  all starts with walking out

  Fallen Angel

  You’ve been hurt

  Your heart was taken

  And only returned

  When it was in two

You try to pick yourself up

But you don’t want to face

  The world anymore

So much pain in your eyes

So much heart break in your life

You hide your heart from the world

I want to make you whole

  Somehow

I reach my hand out to you

  And offer you my world

I see the wonder that’s inside you

  Your light

It shines brighter then a thousand stars

  No matter what you say

  No matter what you do

Your soul is bright and true

  Fallen or not

You’ll always be an angel to me

  Like a broken bird

  You hide with your head

  Tucked under your wing

And you shiver at the thought

  Of anyone

  You dream of days lost

Where you use to be free

I want to take you back

  Where you belong

I reach my hand out to you

  And offer you my world

I see the wonder that’s inside you

  Your light

It shines brighter then a thousand stars

  No matter what you say

  No matter what you do

Your soul is bright and true

  Fallen or not

You’ll always be an angel to me

You don’t know how truly precious

  You truly are

  Or how I yearn inside

  For your happiness

  You say there’s nothing left

  But deep down inside

  There’s strength to be found

That can break free of the walls

I reach my hand out to you

  And offer you my world

I see the wonder that’s inside you

  Your light

It shines brighter then a thousand stars

  No matter what you say

  No matter what you do

Your soul is bright and true

  Fallen or not

You’ll always be an angel to me

  I Remember…

  I remember those days.

  That smell. That smell?

Where have I smelled that smell before?

  It brings me to…

  To what?

  Sweet and…

  And what?

  Almost sickening.

It brings me to the verge of…

  Of what?

  Sometimes that smell makes me…

  What?

  Afraid?

Like a linger of some far off…

  Place?

  Time?

  Dream?

  Makes me feel…

  Young?

  Childlike?

  Non-existent?

The smell is just for me.

  No one else knows.

  Knows what?

  When I least expect it,

  It’s there.

  Yet…

  Is it really there?

  Soul Chill

  I look out my window.

  Darkness.

  I am alone.

  I touch the glass.

  Cold.

  Like my life.

  I turn,

  Afraid to face

  The truth.

  I whisper.

Trying to bring the magic back.

  Yet the silence goes on.

  The emptiness.

  Defeat.

  The world is ice.

  A cold non-caring place.

I look out the window again.

  Darkness is still there.

  I leave,

  Empty,

  Embracing the cold.

  Towards The Stars

  Travel, doing throughout.

  Standing still towards the stars.

  Sniffed and shifted, looking obvious.

  Pushed everything defiantly.

Space and time on the brink of a great chasm.

  Prepare her gently towards restrain.

  Twilight

  Into what?

Whose thinking splashed into the beyond?

One was not skeptical, back where same mattered.

  Birds sent empty ministries.

And all water voiced a trace of advantage.

  Will morning happen?

  Looking at you, terrified.

Worlds scraping time, splintered powder of wisdom.

A thousand glimpses from the same story,

  yet moral anger unfolds.

Mankind considers its course, helplessly blundering beneath the end.

Champions just walk about the aftermath, rocking silently inward.

Great marking etched in stone, pay homage to prehistoric fires,

  Everlasting eternal.

We must survive loudly in this twilight.

  For You

From the day you first walked in

I knew I would never be the same

  The night shimmered with stars

And the sun shined in my empty life

  Heart ache was no longer

  And heaven opened its gate

  A lingering whisper of love

From an angel from up above

  There’s nothing I wouldn’t give

  There’s nothing I wouldn’t do

The moment I looked into your eyes

I knew it was all for you

  I see peace

  I see happiness

  I feel love

Because I know the secret that is

  You

  And I thank God

For a precious gift like you

  And I give my thanks

  For making me whole

  There’s nothing I wouldn’t give

  There’s nothing I wouldn’t do

The moment I looked into your eyes

I knew it was all for you

  I know this is right

  I know this is true

I lay my life down right now

  It’s all for you

  All for you

  There’s nothing I wouldn’t give

  There’s nothing I wouldn’t do

The moment I looked into your eyes

I knew it was all for you

  Goodbye

What is the sound I know so well

What are the cries of my own personal hell

What is the sound I know so well

The sound of a dying heart

When you walked out that door

I knew I had lost something so right

Life would never be the same

  I lost happiness that night

How can I ever be the same

  Knowing that precious flame

  Has gone out

  Never to rekindle our light

What is the sound I know so well

What are the cries of my own personal hell

What is the sound I know so well

The sound of a dying heart

  How
could you leave me like this

  Knowing how hard I tried

  And my only true happiness

Was having you by my side

I know it can never be the same

The love I used to know

It was gone when your eyes left mine

So now I must let you go

What is the sound I know so well

What are the cries of my own personal hell

What is the sound I know so well

The sound of a dying heart

  Good bye, my Love

  Even though we are through

  I will always love you

What is the sound I know so well

What are the cries of my own personal hell

What is the sound I know so well

The sound of a dying heart

  Kill Me Sweetly

It wasn’t supposed to be this way.

The light of love had already risen in my life.

  But it crept upon me.

Like a tiger in the dark.

And grabbed a hold of me.

  Chaotic and confusing.

You hold me with one glance.

I whisper your name to the night.

  I turn to leave.

  Knowing,

to stay will only bring me pain.

  Yet,

Kill me sweetly one more time.

I have been stripped of innocence.

  I have hurt the trusting.

Never once did they see the threat.

I shouldn’t be here with you.

  Knowing it’s wrong.

  But feeling, oh, so right.

  Chaotic and confusing.

You hold me with one glance.

I whisper your name to the night.

  I turn to leave.

  Knowing,

To stay will only bring me pain.

  Yet,

Kill me sweetly one more time.

You tell me that you love me.
