  Ryan

It’s exciting learning a new city—its roads, buildings, and all the new people you have yet to meet, but the best part of all … no one knows you or who your family is. It’s a fresh start, but where do you begin? My brother said you will know when it happens. You will know the opportunity to take advantage of. You will feel the excitement of that opportunity the moment it becomes available. However, I don’t like to sit around and wait off to the side; I prefer to jump into the middle of trouble and look for the opportunity; however, considering this rough neighborhood, it is more likely that it will find me first and come beating down my door. Every city has its leaders, its players, its followers, and, most importantly, its watchers. They are the eyes, instantly alerting the leaders when something is amiss. If I want to know who the real players are, then I need to move into the heart of the city and see who becomes bothered by my presence first. The heart was easy to find, my new place was a little bit harder to decide upon. Once I was able to find a place with all of its walls still in tacked I made it mine and then began my campaign.

Patience. It is the most difficult ability to achieve, but I learned from my brother if I can perfect it, then I can control anyone. Before I left, he drilled the idea into my head again, telling me all I need to know about building my own organization. It all comes down to one thing.

“Be patient, Ryan, and let them come to you. Going to them will only make you look desperate and disorganized. Find the right place and put a stake in it, hold your head up, and dare them to challenge you. If you seem bold enough then, oh, they will come for you. As far as men to add to your crew, you don’t need to take in everyone that you meet. You will be fine to grow slowly if you do it wisely. Never take in the ones high on their own stash or the money hungry bastards who would sell their own child to get ahead. No, take the ones who understand what it means to have full and idyllic protection. Take the ones who can’t be broken by ordinary means. Once you have your crew, keep them busy. Keep them moving so they never get bored and never have to wonder if you will miss them if they get some side action going. And I don’t have to tell you that appreciation goes a long way. Take care of not just them but their family too, or anyone they hold dear to them, so they know you are fully aware of their lives and everyone in it.” Pausing, he shook his head and smiled, “You don’t need me to tell you all this, do you?” I don’t bother to say a word. “I forget that you’re not my little brother anymore. You’re simply younger and not quite as good looking,” he laughs.

“You wish. The next time we spar, I am not going to go so easy on you and that pretty face of yours.”

Nick nods and does what I had been waiting for him to do. He hugs me tight.

“I will be here if you need me, little brother.”

While my brother has been an inspiration to me, I have a lot of ideas of my own, and I am anxious to try them out. Each day, I go out and stroll the neighborhood, and each night, I sit on my front porch and meet everyone eye to eye as they pass. There is talk about me, but no movement yet. Time will give me what I need, and time is what will prove my dominance and their weakness. It’s clear they are growing impatient and nervous. They watch me every day, and wonder, who is he and what does he want? Is he with my enemy or can I use him against my enemy? In the end, the unknown is never good and must be destroyed before it’s known.

After a while, they can take my presence no longer. They start out by testing me, hoping I reveal my intentions. At first, they offer me drugs, and I decline. Next, they offer me a job, and I say no. In the end, they offer me a chance to leave on my own, and I refuse. A day or two goes by, and a few battle-hungry individuals who want to prove themselves are sent to get rid of me, but one-on-ones with lackeys is not what I am after. I take care of those who need to be handled, and I look the rest in the eyes and redirect them to where they came from, with orders to kill. The effect pays off, and even though they don’t understand what happened or how I turned their own men against them, the higher ups don’t hesitate to send in their best men with brash curiosity.

Sitting quietly on the front porch, I hear them coming before they even know for sure where they are going—a sense that has grown stronger recently. Recklessly, they begin surrounding me, believing their plans of ambush will be fun.

“I wouldn't challenge me if I were you,” I breathe into the night air as easy as I would breathe any other words of welcome. These aren’t the intimidators. These are the killers, and they have no patience for conversation or any time for reason. They need only to kill. They come at me in a way they believe is fast, in a way that they believe is strong, and in a way that they believe ensures they have the upper hand.

They … were wrong. I lift my gaze, meeting theirs with a smile and swirling eyes of blaze. The ones that don’t run or die instantly in front of me, fall to the ground, begging for mercy. I oblige by way of them changing sides, the side they will never think to go against again, my side, and thus ridding myself of any future problems.

This city doesn't know me, but it will. There’s a new devil in town, and he’s bringing hell with him.

  CHAPTER 1

  Nick

Nicky walks into my office with a serious expression and sits down like the little man he is. I wink towards Kayla who is tearful already. We are both beyond proud of him, but we also know what it means to know all about your family and from where you came. If only we knew before it was too late, maybe we could have prevented ourselves a lot of pain and a lot of struggle. I have been working on a book of notes for him, a detailed reality of our past so that he can be prepared for his future. “How was school today?” I ask.

He shrugs. “Good, but it is kind o
f boring. The teacher made a mistake today. I tried to correct her, but she said I was wrong. I wasn’t wrong, Daddy.”

“Nicky you need to respect your teacher,” Kayla says.

“I try Mommy, but she was telling everyone wrong. I was only trying to help. I don’t know why I have to go there. Why can’t you just teach me? Or why can’t I go to one of our realm schools? I think it might be good to know our people.”

“It’s a good thought, and we will consider it, but for now, we prefer you to seem as normal as possible in this world. You live here. We prefer you to live here and understand how this world works. It will help you understand the souls that come before you and how severe you should sentence their eternity. You can’t very well make sound decisions without all the information now, can you?”

He sighs too cute to be ignored, “No, I guess not.” I try to hide my smile so as not to change the seriousness of the issue.

“Now, I will try and allow you to spend more time within our realm because you’re right, you need to experience that life as well,” I say, and he smiles wide toward his mother.

“Nicky, I swear you are more and more like your father every day,” Kayla grumbles, crossing her arms with a motherly sigh.

“Alright, let’s get to why we called you in here.” I take out the book I have bound for him and hand it to him. “This is yours. I want you to read it, and feel free to ask any questions you might have. This book will tell you all you want to know about our family history and possibly help you in your future. You’re going to be a lord one day, Nicky, and I want you to have all the tools you need to be successful and have as happy of a life as possible. Unfortunately for you my son, you are not going to have a choice in which direction your life goes. You are too powerful, and there is no way that you are going to be allowed to walk away from your family heritage and live a normal life. I know you are still young, and I argued with your mother about this for months, but in the end, even she can’t deny that your life is always going to be in danger. Your mother and I may not always be around to protect you, so we would rather prepare you to survive now, rather than wait for a time that may end up being too late. Do you understand?”

  “Yes Daddy.”

“Good. Learn from that book, and in the back, I want you to begin writing down new things you learn each day. When you need a new book, you let one of us know.”

“Can I also put it into my computer?” He asks studying the book as if it is a foreign object.

“Yes, you can put it all in your computer if you wish. Get Eddy to help you with a secure place to put it. We love you, Nicky,” I say as Kayla grabs him and hugs him so tight he makes a goofy expression.

“I love you too,” he says, making his way to me. I wrap my arms around my son and close my eyes, holding him close for as long as I can. When he leaves to go play and be a kid, Kayla comes to me and lays her head against my shoulder.

“I know, Princess, but the war is coming. I can feel it, and there is no guarantee we will live through it. Our children however, have been guaranteed protection by the Higher Power until the day they become of age. We don’t want that day to come too fast for them; we have to prepare them properly while we can. As the oldest, Nicky especially needs to be prepared. We can’t leave him in the dark, unable to protect him and his siblings properly.” Kayla buries her head into my chest, feeling the weight of which are heritage has brought us. Comforting my beautiful wife is easy for me, but I only hope I will be able to be here to comfort my children as their lives begin to weigh upon them.

“Do I really need to select this army right now?” I ask Rabbi, Savage’s old, silent aide and my new aide to the underworld. I would be lost here without him and Ro, who translates for me. I am not sure how he understands what Rabbi is trying to say, but he does. Ro says it’s because they are brothers from another mother. I’m thinking Ro just likes to talk a lot and Rabbi has no choice but to listen, and somewhere along the way, Ro picked up on the extremely subtle facial expressions Rabbi makes. Either way, they seem to get along and are teaching each other about the world in its entirety. Rabbi never got to experience anything outside of Savage, and Ro knows nothing of the realm life.

Rabbi nods. “He said ‘Yes, you have to do it now’,” Ro translates easily.

“Thank you, Ro. I’m not sure I could have figured out what the nod meant.”

“Hey, don’t get snappy, my lord. I’m only trying to help. Besides, I’m nervous. I don’t like going there. It’s just too close to all places I don’t ever want to go.”

“You’ll be fine as long as you don’t piss me off,” I remind him. His instant non-humored expression causes me to laugh.

“Don’t worry, Ro. I’ll protect you from the big, bad devil.” Kayla walks in looking too good to have to be decent and clothed around. She cozies up to my side with a kiss. “Coming to work with me today, Princess?”

“Yes, if that’s okay, my lord?” she says in a tone that reminds me of the game we played last night. While I was sitting in my office Kayla walked in with a suspicious expression on her face.

“What are you up to?” I asked nervously.

She move sin front of my desk with an erotic hum. “I was wondering if my lord needs me to help him with anything?”

Looking around the room I quickly verify the time and that all my children are in bed before clearing my desk and smiling wickedly. “I do, but I will need you to remove that sweater and those pants.”

“As you wish, my lord.” Kayla strips off her sweater and slips out of her pants showing off some new lingerie I haven’t seen before. Small strips of leather with braided metal bindings is all that covers her. “Good, now come here and clean my desk.” She moves in front of me and bend down over my desk organizing while I admire her ass in my face. “Bend over more and spread your legs wider.” I demand.

“As you wish.” She gasps while doing as I ask and feeling my eyes focusing on what I want.

I sit back watching her ass dance in front of me, calling for me to touch her. Unbuttoning my shirt I get more comfortable before sliding my hand over her ass and down between her legs. “Keep working while I enjoy myself.”

  “Yes my lord.”

Pulling the leather down just under her perfectly rounded cheeks, I push her to bend over more so I can see all she has to offer me. I spread her cheeks with my hands and let my fingers roam her pussy with a deep satisfying groan. Playing happily I begin to become hungry when my fingers become too wet to be ignored. “Stay still and let me eat.” I say to her and then find that sweet pink clit and kiss it with a swirl of my tongue. Kayla grabs the edges of my desk and I fist the metal bindings on her panties and pull her in closer to my mouth. I push my tongue up into her and jiggle it in until I taste her cum. Sitting back in my chair I happily admire my work while releasing my eager, rapidly hardening devil from its restraints. My cock rubs up her legs as I stand and caresses her pussy gently before I dive in to satisfy its fucking needs. I wrap my arms around her and pull the leather down below her breasts, “Fondle your breasts for me, I want those nipples perfect erect red.” I nip her neck, “Do you understand me.”

“Yes my lord.” She breathes roughly. Cupping her bouncing tits and playing with her nipples, Kayla even lifts one up to take a taste of the tip.

“Yeah that’s it.” My cock looks so good squeezing in between her ass, letting that pussy cum drain all over it. One final thrust in and I blow cum deep inside of her. I take hold of my wife’s hair and nuzzle the nape of her neck with kisses and love. Sitting down in my chair she turns and sits down to straddle me with bright red nipples.

“Did I make you happy my lord?” She asks with a bite of her lip.

Smiling I hold her in my lap while she wraps her arms around my neck, “Kiss me … my Princess.” I whisper.

“Whew! It is a wonder you two ever come out of your bedroom. It’s like constant sex with every word you speak. Can you tone it down a little, maybe to a PG-13? An R ra
ting even would be a nice change. Otherwise, you are going to be having a whole army of horny bastards following you today, and I don’t want to be the easy access aide within their grasp,” Ro swears, trying to separate us a little.

“I’ll try, but we better make this quick.” I wink at my wife and take her hand while Rabbi leads me through our passage into the ninth and on into our military headquarters where are large group of men and women warriors await our arrival.

The moment I enter the training facility, they all instantly stand to attention with a three-leveled chant, “My lord!” I am stunned, and Kayla giggles. I roll my eyes in her direction. She shrugs with a sweet kiss to my cheek.

“You look so handsome today, Nick.” She thinks that comment will keep me from telling her she is not allowed to come anymore, but she will need to do more than that later to appease me. I make sure she understands that with a devilish glare, one I know she can’t resist. Ever since I took Nicky with me, she has demanded to be included too. She doesn’t like our son subjected to things she doesn’t understand, and I doubt that when she does understand, she will like it any better.

“Let’s get on with it, Rabbi.” He raises a hand, and the first man moves forward. I hear all about him and his qualifications. It’s one man after another, and even a few women. They all seem pretty much the same until one. I didn’t notice her at first, but Kayla did. She continuously breaks her stance to peer around the long line of men between us and look me over. She seems nervous, anxious even. When her turn arrives, she steps forward with a stumble and a sharp glare toward the man next to her.

“Lord, my name is Skylar. I have served the first realm and his Lord Keel for ten months now. I am dedicated and would be honored to serve you in any aspect you wish.” She finishes with a shaky sigh.
