Constable Richards secures the back doors and gets back into the ambulance. Although the Constable suspects the lad will be fine, he sets off quickly to make up some time that he has lost that day.
12)? Port Augusta Hospital. 3.10pm 38 degrees.
The ambulance pulls up the emergency doors as Doug, the orderly comes out and to check what has happened this time. He looks inquisitive and calls out to the Doctor over his shoulder. The Doctor peers through the doors looking inquisitive.
Doctor Lewis.
D?j? vue Constable. What have we got here?
Constable Richards.
Afternoon Doctor. A gunshot wound to the jaw Im afraid.
Doctor Lewis.
Ah. The rabbit finally has his revenge I see. Cmon Doug, Lets get this young man out of this heat and onto my surgery table. Out of the frying pan and into the fire so to speak. Thanks for your business Constable. Youll be wanting a cutback if you keep sending us all this business.
