  Prologue

Earth was considered a desolate planet and is used as a prison. Humanity lives on Mars in a single but always expanding city. Technology being what it is keeps us humans breathing. Our government is ruled by a man named Max Wexmen. He’s a twisted fuck and changed our entire structure. Now it is illegal to drink alcohol, do any drugs, have kinky sex, and, of course, smoke. Homosexuality was a death sentence. Women were to be kept for breeding. Dark-skinned men were used as slaves like back in the darkest days of history. The bad guys ruled the world and the good guys were the outlaws. That’s why we created the MC. We take our hover bikes and fight the injustice on Mars. The battle is going to be bloody.

Who am I? Does it fucking matter? You only have one choice—get the fuck out of my way. Oh, yeah, and welcome to the future.

  Chapter One

“What the fuck are you looking at?” I scowled, narrowing my blue eyes.

The guy staring at me shrugged and hurried off.

“Deviant!” Outlaw’s voice was stern. He was the MC president.

  I glanced at him.

  “Play nice.”

I was a six-foot-three, strawberry blond man that people crossed the street to avoid. I grunted then settled back down on my hover bike. There were three of us. Outlaw, Lover, and me. Our bikes were off, kickstand down. The black exterior was shiny and well lit in the overhead sunshine. We were just inside the city. The buildings around us were only two or three levels. The problem wasn’t that people weren’t used to hover bikes or even us wearing our MC cuts. No, the problem was me. They stared because I was a blue-eyed blond with enough muscle to kill and little morals to stop that kill. This place was filled with rich bastards, their slaves, their fancy hover cars, expensive clothes. I wanted to throw it all in a pile and take a piss on their precious items. We were here because some asshole peacekeepers pulled us over. They were wasting time, trying to get illegal shit on us that we were smart enough to hide, normally, but this time we actually didn’t have anything. I crossed my arms over my chest. The peacekeeper went toward my bike and I leaned forward. My head lowered so I could stare at him like a wild animal ready to charge. I felt the tension in my body spread, ready to spring so I could beat this guy with his own fucking arm.

  He paused. “I don’t see anything Day-Si.”

The other guy, that was our problem. Day-Si, or as we fondly called him Daisy, had a grudge against us. There was a mumble. Something about free to go.

I refrained from showing them my middle finger. Outlaw would be proud. Truth was this gave our boys in the hover car with the weapons time to slip on past. They went by about five minutes ago, heading toward a friend of the club, Harley. He moved the new stolen weapons from our hands to the Underground MC. They were run by Justice, a dark-skinned guy that was helping us rise up against the government.

The peacekeepers moved back to their hover car.

Outlaw hopped onto his bike. “A few more seconds. We head back home.”

I watched them settle in and uncrossed my arms.

  “You got that, Deviant?”

I jerked my gaze to my president then back to the peacekeeper. Outlaw knew me well enough by now. He knew I’d listen grudgingly. I wouldn’t grovel to his leadership or kiss his shoes or shit like that. I could follow most orders. Usually. I just wasn’t good at the whole authority thing or staying calm. The hover car started up, lifting into the air, and then slowly pulled away. I let out a breath and flexed my fingers.

“Let them turn the corner. We’re going the opposite way back to the garage,” Outlaw said then gave Lover a wink. Yeah, those two were squeezing their fat cocks in each other’s ass every night. The entire crew knew it. Best friends to MC leaders to lovers. I knew because they weren’t fucking quiet. They couldn’t show that affection in public though. Proof of homosexuality meant a death sentence. What a wonderful world we lived in.

The car skimmed forward gradually and stopped as the hovering light turned yellow then red. The other side of the traffic started. There weren’t too many cars. My gaze shifted from the enemy to the street. That’s when I saw it. Them. I inhaled sharply, memories of my sister flashing through my mind. The woman on the leash wasn’t my sister, but she had the same blonde hair. I stood up on my bike, staring across the expanse of red, flat rock road. The man that held this woman’s leash pulled her along. It looked degrading the way she stared at the ground defeated. Women were property, breeders, that’s what the government said. Every woman I saw took on the face of my younger sister. It was like torture over and over again.

The woman stumbled. She winced as she landed on her knees, her light hair falling around her head in lush locks.

I sat back down. There was nothing I wanted more than to reach out and save her. But saving one woman wouldn’t help our cause to take down the government. Outlaw told me that. Unfortunately, I believed him. I held myself in check. Just barely. Then the shithead that held her leash turned and smacked her right across the face. I swung my leg off my bike. When he raised his hand to strike her again, I charged across the street. This was someone’s mother, someone’s sister.

  “Deviant!”

I heard Outlaw’s voice but ignored it. Besides, I was already on the other side of the road. “Hey, shithead.”

The older guy turned around, startled. By my presence or my language, I wasn’t sure.

I grabbed a handful of his shirt and punched him right in the face. He went down hard. I heard Outlaw yelling my name. I heard the wail of the peacekeeper’s sirens. Nothing mattered but the blood that ran from this woman’s nose. She stared up at me, brown eyes wide, the corner of her thin lips turned up in the smallest of grins. I pulled the guy back to his feet and slugged him in the gut. He doubled over gasping. I rammed my knee into his face. I felt the crack, the spray of blood. His nose was broken. He slumped to the ground, his blood joining hers on the sidewalk.

  “Put your hands up!”

I spun around. The two peacekeepers were standing there with their weapons drawn. Not their guns wi
th laser ammo but their stun sticks. I smiled wide and proud. I knew they couldn’t swing faster than I could run at them. If I ran at Day-Si, the other guy would be frozen for a few seconds. In that time, I could take down one and then attack the other.

“Deviant.” Lover’s voice broke through. He and Outlaw were on the other side of the peacekeepers. A small crowd was gathering behind them.

Outlaw showed me his palms. “Let them take you in.”

  Fuck that.

“Deviant.” He growled my name. “Listen to me.”

I hissed out a breath. I could kill both these guys without any fucking hesitation. Of course, then I’d be stuck back on Earth with a prison sentence. I frowned then grudgingly put my hands in the air.

“Turn around, bitch.” Day-si sounded so fucking brave.

I turned. My gaze fell on the man still huddled on the ground bleeding. The woman was on her knees. Our gazes locked for a split second. All the trouble I was about to face was worth the look in her eyes. Defiance. The woman stood. She couldn’t run but at least she held her head high. Someone grabbed my wrist. I jerked away and Day-Si pressed the barrel of a gun to my head.

“Try it. Please.” His thin finger was on the trigger.

I grunted and loosened up so they could grab my wrists again and place handcuffs on me. They dragged me from the scene and nearly threw me into the hover car. They tried to. I was a big boy; muscle, height. They weren’t going to fucking throw me anywhere. I slid into the car. Then I glanced at Outlaw. He gave me a raised eyebrow, one shake of his head, and then a wink. I settled back into the seat. The club would “persuade” that guy from pressing charges. A few hours in holding was worth that woman’s smile.

  Chapter Two

I was sitting in holding with remote controlled cuffs around my wrists. They were flush with the wall so my hands were on either side of my head. It made my biceps bunch and my shoulder muscles flex. My strawberry blond hair had been taken out of the tie. It sat on my clavicle softly, the ends tickling my skin some. I was standing, but they hadn’t activated my ankle cuffs yet. I just had to keep my mouth somewhat quiet and wait for my club to get me out. They’d come through for me. Always had. In fact, when I first met Outlaw he’d bailed me out of holding too. I was bloodied and looking to hit someone else. I had no idea why this dark-haired stranger was using himself as my alibi. Apparently, I was at his bar drinking when that “gentleman” had been beaten. Outlaw took me back to their garage where I met Lover. Then it all started to come together. The patches, the tattoos, saving my ass—they were recruiting for the club. I turned them down. Outlaw said it was first time someone said no to him. The memory made me smile. I had just turned eighteen, which meant my abusing foster parents couldn’t keep me anymore. I was living out of a hover car that had seen better days long ago. Searching, yeah, I spent all my time searching for her. The thought made my breath catch.

Outlaw found out somehow. I don’t know who he bribed, but he learned about my sister, my past, the wretched fucking hand of fate we were given. The only reason I decided to become a prospect was for her. My Lily. He promised to help me. I only lasted one day as a prospect though. I mouthed off, didn’t take directions, but I pulled my own weight. Next morning I was a patch member of Outlaw MC of Mars. It fit me well. I wasn’t afraid to get bloody and I wanted change in the government.

I closed my eyes and tuned out the sounds of the holding cell. The noisy doors closing, other people yelling their innocence, peacekeepers shuffling papers. I tuned it all out and thought about my Lily. Her voice, her laughter. She was two years young than me. I was supposed to protect her but...

My eyelids popped open. I couldn’t think about it, about her. Time did not heal this wound. I squeezed my hands and took deep breaths. Not to calm myself, just so I could purge her from my memory. Then there was a loud clatter. My cell door opened and it was Day-Si. He scowled as he unlocked the cuffs remotely. A small cramp rode my shoulder and I grunted. “Miss me so soon?”

“The citizen you beat up is refusing to press charges. He said he fell and you helped him up.”

I grinned. “I’m generous like that.”

He held the door open. “One day those fuckers aren’t going to be able to protect you. You’ll be a lost little piggy and I’m going to eat you up.”

“I have to say, Daisy, that sounded kind of gay.” I stepped out of the cell. “You hard up for me? You do know that’s illegal right?” I lifted a blond eyebrow.

“Move.” He pushed at my back.

I walked down the hall, taking my time, making Day-Si work for each step. “I think maybe your dick is so tiny you can’t even tell when the fucking thing’s hard.”

He slapped the back of my head.

It made me chuckle. Stupid shithead. “So that’s a yes then?”

He shoved me through an arch opening and there were my brothers. Outlaw and Lover were standing there looking all sorts of unhappy. Day-Si uncuffed me and I went to them. Each of them embraced me in a hug. Then the three of us left. I gave the building the finger as I drove on by. It just seemed the right thing to do. My hover bike vibrated between my legs more than it should have. I wondered if those fuckers messed with it. When they locked me up, they took my bike. I’d have to have Whip go through it and make sure there were no bugs or trackers. When I turned the corner, I had to swerve to avoid Lover’s slowed bike. I wound up tilted left and nearly pitching right over the damn handlebars. I braked. “What the fuck?” That’s when I saw it. The garage parking lot was filled with peacekeeper vehicles. There must have been close to ten of them with their lights flashing. I pulled my bike to the side of the street along with Lover. Outlaw rode right into the chaos.

“This might get messy,” Lover mumbled.

I cracked my knuckles, turned off my bike, and hopped off. I followed him. Well, I walked beside him. Following wasn’t my thing. I could see the peacekeepers standing around. The rest of our MC were cuffed with their hands behind their back, lying on the flat, red, rocky ground. I hissed out a breath and started marching forward. Lover placed his arm in front of me.

“Don’t start swinging your dick yet.”

  I growled.

“You’re liable to make a few of these fine boys faint.” He winked at me.

I snorted. I could see Outlaw approaching them. Lover sped up to be at his back and I joined him. Now what the fuck was going on? There was no way they could cite my club for what I did. It wasn’t possible.

“You stalking us now, Daisy?” Outlaw asked. He stopped just before a handful of peacekeepers. “You better have a warrant to search our place.”

“Your boys are only being detained.” Day-Si held up a chip with a holographic screen. “But I do have an arrest warrant for Liam Delacruise, aka Lover.” He smiled.

“For what?” Outlaw’s eyes went wide.

Two peacekeepers approached. I stepped in front of them. No one was taking Lover. I growled and they hesitated.

“You either move or you join him in holding!” Day-Si addressed me.

“It’s okay,” Lover spoke quietly. He moved around me, holding his hands out.

I swallowed hard when they cuffed him then I stared at Outlaw. He was breathing heavily, his expression a combination of panic and fear. They had danced around each other since childhood and only recently consummated their attraction.

“What is he being arrested for?” Outlaw asked, his tone anything but calm.

Lover was pushed into the backseat of the car and the door slammed shut. The sound seemed to echo in the dying light. They started to release the rest of our MC.

“He’s being arrested for acts of violence against the government.” Day-Si grinned. “We found his blood at the scene of the auction house bombing.”

Outlaw’s body jerked as if he’d been hit.

“Oh. Did that sting? Your boy is either going to roll on the club or spend the next fifteen years on earth.” Day-Si turned his grin into a wide smile. “Have a n
ice day.”

Outlaw’s bottom lip wavered as he jerked his gaze to Lover in the back of that car.

I looked away. The pain in his face was raw and I knew things were going to get a lot worse before they got better. We had to get Lover out of there. Maybe he could join Justice in the Underground MC. They were dark-skinned men who ran from the law as we all worked together to change it. They’d still be separated but at least they’d be able to see each other once in a while. “Outlaw.” I said his name softly or at least I tried to. It came out funny sounding, too thick with emotion.

He watched Lover, their eyes locked together, and then the hover car turned the corner. “I-I-” he stuttered then closed his mouth. Outlaw looked like he was in shock. He turned around abruptly. The others were standing, a few of them rubbing their wrists. “Whip.” His voice was cracking. “Find out how we fight the charge.”

Whip, with his jewelry jangling, nodded.

“Romeo. Get to holding. You sit in the lobby and make sure they don’t beat him. If you even think they are, call us then raise hell to get their attention.”

The brown-haired flirt nodded and ran quickly to his bike.

  “Beau?” Outlaw called.

The young man was Chaos’ partner. They’d been together for a few months, met in prison of all places. “What do you need?” he asked, rubbing at his wrists.

“Get Justice on the line. We may need to stash Lover with him.”

  Beau nodded and ran off.

  Outlaw glanced at me.

“I’m getting you a stiff fucking drink.” I grabbed his arm and had to drag him inside. We needed a plan, a good one, and right now.

We were in the club bar, which was below the public one. I poured Outlaw a glass full of whiskey. It was illegal, but we liked to bend the rules obviously. He slogged it down like it was water. I poured him another as Whip walked into the room. He placed a thin computer on the counter and clicked a button. A holographic projection came up.
