Why I Left Yoga: Uncle Sammy Testifies of the Truth behind Yoga, Page 3

to Christ. Supposing I must obey the spirit guide in my turn, it was late last night and now time is largely available. As long as his mission is to accompany me grow in spirituality, it is logical that I continue with the doctrine of the Master Jesus. “The spirit has put us in touch and I see no reason why he can be opposed to Jesus advice. Which one is Jesus camp? Which one is my camp? Didn’t he say last night that Jesus is the Savior of all?”

Convinced of the correctness of my reasoning, I resolved to read the Bible. Fearing a sudden appearance of my guide as it had been the case in the night, I prayed to Jesus for the first time. I said: “Jesus, protect me and grant that nothing prevents my access to your Bible; I want to compare the doctrines and I know you desire to help me.”

So I read the Scriptures, eagerly and with great interest. Over paragraphs and pages, my trembling and my fears disappeared while shock and revolt took over. The doctrine of Jesus was much simpler, more adjusted to contemporary life:

"Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

"If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell."

"My Father’s house has plenty of room; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

My anger was flared up when I came across:

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away."

The spirit guide had hit me against the wall, and I had not yet digested. I was realizing through the Bible lines that Jesus would never do such a thing. The spirit had used ruse to trap me and had been vilifying my body into filthiness while Jesus was saying that looking lustfully at a woman was already sin.

Reacting to those readings, my heart fell in love for the Jesus of Philip and I began to view the power of Jesus as the one that had blocked Maheshi.

I arrived at the club shortly before 5 A.M. and wanted to meditate immediately. I quickly did the cleaning, spread the mats and sat cross-legged posture; I closed my eyes but couldn’t concentrate. My mind could not recite mantras. I could not help comparing doctrines. My anger was also on the menu, my time which seemed to have been lost, people and crowds I had probably led astray; all of this afflicted me.

My students came as usual. Despite my efforts to concentrate, my mind remained distracted while my attitude and actions were incoherent. As guilt was hitting my conscience, the blind submission of my students fueled my nervousness and my discomfort became unbearable. I felt compelled to stop the forcing, after half an hour only.

  Mr. Bita asked:

“What about Guru Maheshi, is he still there?

“Yes! He is hosted at the headquarters of the Association for Peace. Get there and you’ll see him,” I replied.

“So, why haven’t you announced the suite of the initiations of next Sunday? he asked.

“We still have Saturday class, it isn’t late. Thanks for the remark,” I replied.

I felt loose. In fact, I had simply forgotten.

To rectify my gaffe, I opportunely asked Mr. Bita to accompany me for a visit to Maheshi. It is a courtesy that I had missed since Sunday evening. He accepted.

From the club, we headed for the Association for Peace. We found the Guru meditating in the corner of the garden. He was imperturbable and we left immediately.

I got home round 8 P.M. The spirit guide was sitting at the entrance. I noticed that Mr. Bita could not see him and encouraged him to go home directly. He accepted without resistance. As he was going, the spirit guide scoffed:

“Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! The beef is right for slaughter and cannot realize it. Stupid thing! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Useless and worthless stuff!

“Idiot and coward are you! You haven’t followed my advice!” the embodied-spirit growled sternly.

Before he finished uttering his last words, laughter had vanished from his face. He opened the door and invited me in. I prompted to flee, but found myself inside.

“Tell me where you want to go,” the spirit guide said with a soft tone. “Don’t you know that we are married? Don’t you know that your body is my temple and that you cannot escape from my care? My sweet baby, what are you doing? Don’t you know that I am your god? Don’t you want to recognize that I am helping and assisting you in developing your chakras? And all the pleasure that I give you, isn’t I the one that have been giving it to you? Why disobeying me my dear? You belong to me and I will give you everything you want, provided you stop these awkward readings.”

I wanted to speak but held back. The spirit guide continued:

“The doctrine is with my son Maheshi. Open your eyes! He is entirely devoted to me; to the point he doesn’t seek any marriage. He obeys faithfully and look, he lives peacefully and I take so great pleasure in catering of him day and night. He lacks nothing. The food, he’s always satisfied. Ecstasies, he’s fully satisfied.”

“What about his eternal life, in what do you plan to reincarnate him?” I asked.

“Life, hummm, I love you as you see… so much. So…-”

At this level, he started caressing and I tried to halt him:

“Today I have read in the Bible that God doesn’t condone homosexuality, but you cherish it and quickly teach it to every soul that is dedicated to you!

At my remarks, he walked away and started threatening:

“See how ugly and corrupted you are now! Hardly have you gone through one page you start tormenting me. Heyyyyyyyyy! Here is why I forbade you read that book! Can you measure the consequences? Now you criticize me. For all these past years, we were well together and now you criticize me. I have awakened you to the most intimate of pleasures; I have taught you many sensations your age mates ignore; I have put you in contact with Jesus, and now you criticize me!”

“Speaking of Jesus, why are you opposed to the advice he has given me? Why do you object his writings? Who are you?” I asked the spirit.

“I'm the one to guide you to your grand master,” he replied. “I have to take care of you and be sure you are ready for your wedding that is to occur next month. You know, the Bible even speaks of the weddings of the Lamb, so you see that I am familiar with the writings of the Grand Master.”

“Jesus is meek and humble in heart. He would never have beaten and humiliated me as you did last night. I do not love you anymore,” I said.

The spirit guide after an uneasy sigh, pulled himself together:

“You know, even the Grand Master chastises those He loves well. Understand that it is my great love that has done it.”

“You lie!” I retorted. “Didn’t you say last night that I had chosen my camp; which choice I have to assume. You behave like the evil spirits I have read in the Bible.”

“Again the Bible! You are getting on my nerves!” the spirit guide shouted.

However, he calmed down right then.

“You know, you belong to me and you are mine,” he resumed. “You have to be wise and do whatever I tell you. You must not annoy me baby; I'm your guide and you have been consecrated to me, totally set apart for me alone.”

At these words, the spirit began to approach. Terrified, I remembered how the disciples addressed the unclean spirits.

“I chase you in the name of Jesus,” I ordered him.

The spirit guide became furious right then. Seized with anger and shaking, his appearance immediately changed. In less than a minute, he put the room upside down. He threw against me all that his hand could touch.

Alerted by my screams and the noise, the neighbors rush to my apartment and opened the door. As my rescuers entered, the spirit
guide became calm and ceased acting. The embodied spirit was invisible to my visitors, so they entered into the lounge.

“Please, it's okay,” I told them. “Go home and do not come back, even if you hear other noises.”

“What’s wrong? We are your neighbors and we can’t stay back when you need help!” said the one who had come closer to me for I was sitting on the floor.

Just after he spoke, he received a violent blow in the back and ran away screaming. My other rescuers also rushed out confused and all stood in the yard. Then I heard someone outside laughing, mocking and saying: “He had entered a cult and now he pays back; everything is repaid down this earth!”

In a fit of anger, the neighbor who had just fled declared loudly, “Unclean spirit, I bind you in the name of Jesus!” To his command, the spirit was immobilized; he seemed bound by something invisible. He stood in such position for minutes, hideous and repulsive in appearance. Realizing what had happened; I went out, shut the door, thanked the neighbors for their help and went away. I had to find help. I resolved to go to the Pastor of Philip.

After approximately a mile, I heard the voice of the spirit guide telling me:

“Where are you going my dear? Don’t you understand that I am in you? We are married and God knows. It isn’t worth bothering the Pastor. What God has united, man cannot separate.”

Discouragement seized me after these remarks.

Back home, I found the room in perfect order. The spirit was
