“Still wanted to strangle the guy,” he informs me.
“Yeah. But had he not left me, I wouldn’t be yours,” I remind him.
He kisses me again. “I’m ready to drop Kaden off and take you home.”
I snigger. “Oh. And what will we be doing then?”
He licks his lips. “Letting me show you just how beautiful I think you are.”
“I’m the luckiest woman,” I tell him.
“Yeah. You are, but that’s because you’ve made me the luckiest man.”
“Ice,” Kaden pulls Kyce’s jeans. “Poop. I need poop.”
His eyes slide to me and he laughs. “Yeah. I’m not so lucky at the moment.”
I watch Kyce take Kaden into the store, hand in hand. My future. My love. Oh, how I’m so grateful for my broken path. Without it, I would have never wandered into Kyce. I would have never gotten to experience what it feels like to have my soul touched by true love.
My husband amazes me. This sweet, foul-mouth, romantic, macho man has me entirely enamored. And the best part of it, he’s mine.
