I briefly drop my guard and latch onto Mom’s current tirade.
“What a pity they didn’t introduce the ban a year earlier, and then you’d never have been born. What did I do to deserve such a disobedient, selfish fool for a daughter?”
I zone out again.
The TV flickers to life a second time, and my ears are given a merciful reprieve. Hope blooms to life in my chest. “Sadie Owens.” My head darts to the screen and I stare at the tall, thin brunette with pinched features staring back at me.
“Yes.” I jump out of the chair.
“You’ve been chosen to participate in ‘The Experimento.’ You have thirty minutes to pack your belongings and make your goodbyes.”

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Thank you so much for picking up a copy of The Lost Savior, and I hope you enjoyed reading the first installment in my Alinthia series. This series is a very loose Superman retelling. I say “loose” because it is NOT a superhero series, and the main similarities are Alinthia’s origins, how she came to arrive on Earth, and where she landed, and her and her protectors share some similar abilities to Superman, but that is pretty much where the similarities end. She will not be donning a red cape and flying over the skies to protect Earth!
As always, it takes a mini army to bring each new book to market. I couldn’t produce my books as fast as I do without the fantastic team who supports me. Massive thanks, in no particular order, to: Kelly Hartigan, Lola Verroen, Victoria Cooper, Polgarus Studios, Jennifer Gibson, Dana Lardner, Danielle Smoot, Angelina Smith, Karla Carroll, Sinead Davis, and Deirdre Reidy.
I would also like to thank the members of Siobhan’s Squad on Facebook, my loyal ARC team, readers, reviewers, and bloggers the world over who help spread the word about my books. You all give freely of your time to support me, and I’m always immensely grateful.
Thanks to my family and friends for their ongoing support, especially my husband Trev and my two sons, Cian and Callum. They put up with a lot, and they don’t complain too much.
I love to hear from my readers, so feel free to reach out to me on social media or via email. Please bear with me if it takes me a little while to get back to you. My inbox is a bit like an online jungle these days, but, rest assured, I will reply when I have time.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you stick with the series.
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
Are you aware that if you borrow a book from Kindle Unlimited and read in Page Flip mode the author doesn’t get paid? Amazon has recently confirmed this to authors, and there is no indication as to whether they intend to fix this or not. I hate mentioning this, but as my page reads continue to decline (despite the fact I have way more books enrolled in Kindle Unlimited), I may need to revisit my participation in the program going forward. I would never ask any reader to stop reading in Page Flip mode, as reading is highly personal, but I do want to ensure every reader is fully aware of all the facts, so they can make their own informed decision. Thanks for your attention.
P.S. I did include this note at the front of the book, but Amazon continually keeps setting my books to start on Chapter One despite the fact I usually have a note at the front of each book to explain something important, and set the book to open on the title page. So, I’m copying this note here, not to be an annoying so and so but to ensure my readers have read this important notification. Thank you for understanding.
