Jeremy leaned in as Bradley raised his hands and pushed back at the air, as though something was there.
“I haven’t eaten anything the whole goddam day,” he yelled. “I know my rights! I know I have to be fed. Stop fucking with my brain.” He backed up and exclaimed, “No, I want to see Dr Wellbottom or Dr Brock. This is abuse.”
He tilted his head to the side before raising a hand to his neck, as though something had touched him. He looked towards the cage and closed his eyes.
Jeremy couldn’t believe it, but with his eyes closed and feet dragging along, Walker made it all the way back to the cell he had slept in before, curling up on the floor this time and going to sleep.
Jeremy wasn’t sure what Walker was seeing and wondered if the man really was mentally unstable and if this was a bad idea. Then he remembered Danny, he remembered talking to Danny’s young children, and his anger flared up once more.
Mental or not, Walker deserved to be punished. Jeremy set the cameras to record and got up, going to shower before he climbed into bed, his last satisfying thought being that Walker was cold, hungry and alone.

Hailing from Johannesburg, Southern Africa, Sian B. Claven has enjoyed stories for all her life, whether she was reading them or making them. She has written for as long as she can remember, but Ensnared is the first book she decided to publish. Moving towards writing more for a horror genre, when Sian isn’t thinking of ways to terrify people, she enjoys writing science fiction stories, poetry and rather long and gushy birthday wishes. When she isn’t working on her writing you can find her knitting, scrap booking, reading, or playing Xbox.
