“It seems Daniel approves of this union,” the preacher said. With Olivia’s hand still in his, he released Landry and placed one of Daniel’s hands in Olivia’s. He repeated the motion with Landry’s. Then, smiling, he looked out over the guests. “Now then, it is my great pleasure to introduce, for the first time, the Mitchell family.”
Olivia and Landry shared a look filled with hope for the future. Olivia was sure her heart was going to burst with joy and happiness. She was lucky enough to have found the one thing she’d always felt she was missing, and she’d treasure it forever.
