While I never close a door on any series entirely, this novella serves as a glimpse into the future for each of the different Kavanagh couples. Saying goodbye to the Kavanagh family is a lot more difficult than I expected. This family has been a part of me for three years, and I love each character as if I knew them in real life.
In fact, sometimes I think I really do because I modeled a lot of the family dynamics after my own boisterous Greek family. Every family gathering of ours is a chaotic mix of fighting and love, but there is never any doubt that these are my people. These are the people that would drop anything for me, and they’ve saved me more times than I can count. That type of loyalty and unconditional love is what I hoped to bring to this Irish family, and I’m thrilled with how the readers have responded to them.
