  “It’s okay,” I said. “I’m okay.”

  “You’re okay?” He leaned back and looked at my face. “But you’re crying.”

  “It’s good crying,” I said. “It really is.”

  “Good crying?” He let out a chuckle and kissed the top of my head again. “Yay for good crying, I guess.”

  “You’re such a dork,” I laughed.

  “Hey,” he said and tightened the arm around my waist so that I was pulled much closer to him. “I can be alpha if you need it. I can be anything you need.” Remy’s voice was almost a growl, but he broke into a smile a second later.

  “I don’t need you to be anything but you,” I said and pushed a lock of his hair away from his forehead.

  “What you need is to be good and properly kissed by a man who loves you more than anything in this world,” he said.

  And before I could say another word, he kissed me.
