“And I’ll be twice the mother mine was.” She gave him a nudge. “You didn’t tell him all the news.”
“It’ll be pretty obvious by October.” He looked down at her, gauging her expression. “Are you sure you don’t want to rush the wedding and just have a party in October after the harvest?”
“I’m sure. You sure you want to go in there right now and tell the family?”
He brought her to a slow stand. “Yeah, because that’ll be…fun.”
She laughed. “They have themselves to blame. They need to know what happens when two people get ‘cozy.’”
