I collapsed across his lower torso, my cum-slick palm sliding over his chest. I lay on the bed, feeling drained at last. I took Renzo in my arms and pulled him close against me.
“Wow,” he exclaimed softly, as we cuddled. “That was … well, it was always great, being with you, Gino. But maybe because it’s been so long … I have to admit, this time it was exceptional. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. I really enjoyed it, too.”
“Oh, you weren’t just faking it?” he teased. “You weren’t just—acting?”
“Aw, shut up.”
“All kidding aside—I love you, man.”
“I love you, too, Renzo.”
And I wasn’t lying, or being a hypocrite. I did still love him. I supposed I always would.
But, at the same time, I also loved Alain, and Momar, and Ettore … and others. I loved them, too, in separate, different ways.
The seeming contradiction didn’t bother me. I wasn’t that naïve virgin whom Renzo had seduced that night in his father’s garage. Any more than he was the tough-talking punk who’d taken my virginity. Now, we were both older and more experienced. We were men of the world, sophisticated enough to know that there was plenty of love—and lust—to go around. Giving myself to one of the men in my life didn’t deprive the others. And maybe there was something to be said for giving yourself wholeheartedly to the man you happened to be with at the moment.
Renzo and I kissed, slowly and tenderly. Our unexpected reunion had been intensely physical. But it was turning out to have its gentle moments, as well.
Worn out for the time being by our fierce mutual passion, we slept.
