Hank looked down at his fallen girlfriend.
“We all get fooled sometimes,” the old man said.
Hank stepped over her body and went forward with his grandfather into the night.
He looked up at the night sky. The moon shone cold. It hated him. But he was a different man now. A man who knew that her love was a lie all along.
Hank smiled as a gathering of storm clouds drifted in and covered the moon.
