  (Am I What I Am?)

  “I am what I am,” said the wolf to the lamb,

  As he sank in his teeth for a feast.

  “Yes, you are what you are,” said the lamb to the wolf,

  “I can’t mind in the least!”

  “I am what I am,” said the wolf to the lamb,

  As he finished his meal with a smile.

  “Yes, you are what you are,” he wanted to hear

  To justify action so vile.

  “You are what you are,” said the man with the gun,

  To the wolf, holding a gun to her head,

  “Am I who I am?” asked the man with the gun?

  “Too right!” And so he shot the wolf dead.
