“Did I miss much?”
Everyone turned to find Mickey standing just in front of the open skylight. Naked again, but covered from head to toe in thick, yellow milk and bloody remains. In his hand, a bone that could have been either a tibia or fibula; it didn’t matter which. Zee rushed across and threw her arms around his neck.
“Zee!” Rita yelled. “Be careful! His willy’s out!”
Mickey eased the young girl off and smiled. “What was that for?”
“We thought you were dead,” Zee said. “How…?”

“Well, we’re all glad you’re alive,” Lou said from the edge of the roof. “Mayor Mickey.”
Mickey almost choked on his own tongue. “Now, wait a minute,” he said. “I walk around naked all day. Are you sure that’s what you want for Oilhaven?”
Smalling and Harkness shrugged. As far as they were concerned, it was a step in the right direction.
“Get over here!” Clint Fox said, his face all lit up like a Christmas tree. “All these cunts are going to blow!”
“Clint Fox!” Rita screeched. “If I hear you use that word again, I’ll…”
