In the meantime, thanks for all the amazing reviews and feedback. We love your personal notes and really feel like we’re in a literary version of Cheers, you know? People like Alastar and Kelly, Theresa, Robin, and so many others (sorry for not naming all of you, I’m just getting these author notes down and just letting the fingers take over – I greatly appreciate you!). You all make the difference. Sharing a snippet is like walking into the bar in cheers, and then you all reply with your version of “Norm!” which to us is likes on Facebook, comments, etc.
So once again, thank you so much for that. You make the difference. You keep us writing. (Well, okay, we love writing and would probably do it even if only our moms read it, but wouldn’t write with as much passion).

Author Notes - Michael Anderle

First, THANK YOU for not only reading this book, but making it all of the way to the end, and reading these author notes, as well!
There isn’t as much to say about the series, and Justin’s laptop response since he took care of it. Nor, thankfully, do I have to accuse him of Author Note Blocking me like I did PT Hylton and CM Raymond where they put links to video’s in their Author Notes, causing others to skip RIGHT out of the book, and ignore anything behind the video link.
Like, my Author Notes ;-)
I’m writing these notes from the Omni Hotel in San Diego, California. It’s 2:05 AM here and tonight, my younger brother (9 years) and I are going to see Metallica at the baseball stadium next door. Before that, we are meeting my brother and brother-in-law for a sailing adventure.
I pray I don’t get sea sick, cause that would right piss me off. I wouldn’t blame anyone but myself, but ‘boy howdy’ would I give myself a pretty stern talking to and I would deserve it.
Because apparently, I would be an authentic wuss. That I even think it could happen is rather embarrassing to admit.
So, last night my brother and I go out to eat a steak dinner. The concierge tells us about Graystone, and off we go to walk the streets of the Gas Lamp District in San Diego.
Now, almost every time before this, I’ve only been out and about during the day. The Gas Lamp District isn’t that impressive during weekdays. So, I wasn’t expecting much at night.
Holy CRAP was I wrong. The party is definitely after the sun goes down.
Any-hooo, we walk the eight blocks to the steakhouse, get a seat (upstairs by the rail, if you know the restaurant) and get the menus.
Two for food, one for drinks.
I look at the drink menu and set it down. It was all alcohol and they serve Coke.
Decision made.
Now, it was time to decide on the meat and our waiter was spouting on about their Wagyu meat (Japanese, American, and Australian). I’m a Filet Mignon kind of man because I love meat, and not so much the fat. I’ll take an eight-ounce Filet over a sixteen-ounce strip or t-bone any day.
But, Wagyu is supposed to be the most exquisite steak in the world complete with the prices to confirm it. At $22 AN OUNCE, I’ve hesitated to even try it.
But, my brother was willing. So, a polite request for the minimum serving size later (6 ounces, if you are curious) we are served this steak, cut up on a plate and before my brother is fully aware of the plates on the table, I had already speared a piece and started chewing.
It’s…ok. The fat content is too high for me to really enjoy it so after another three or four bites, I gave the rest to him and requested a filet.
However, bucket list item accomplished, I’ve had Wagyu Beef from Japan and that was made possible because YOU fans love the Kurtherian Gambit and keep telling friends about the stories.
From the bottom of my heart (and stomach), thank you for all of your support for Kurtherian Gambit, Oriceran and the other authors!
Metallica wouldn’t be nearly as possible without you.
