First, I want to thank God and my family for allowing me to write and make this dream possible. The support means so much to me, and I understand that sometimes it drives you crazy, especially when I try to meet my deadlines and seem unavailable to you. But I love you guys and appreciate everything you do for me.
Yuri…he has to be one of the most stubborn heroes of mine I’ve written to date. I wrote first book in this series, Pakhan’s Rose, in summer 2016 and already had glimpses of Yuri…I knew he suffered but I wasn’t sure if he was going to get his book. I felt like his heart suffered so much, he wouldn’t open up to another love. But then while writing Pakhan’s Salvation the scene of him announcing to Dom and Vitya that Melissa is pregnant with his child took me off guard. I had different plans for both of them. But alas Yuri claimed her. :) I loved them as couple and understood that they were perfect for each other. His book was supposed to be next right after Sovietnik’s Fury but…he wouldn’t talk to me. I’d have endless chapters of him being stubborn and didn’t know what to do. He frustrated me so much and that’s when Gleb spoke. And I understood his story(Brigadier’s Game) had to be told first. And finally this year Yuri surrendered, as I like to call it, and allowed me to tell his story exactly as it was supposed to be. I hope you enjoyed reading it.
