They reached the subway entrance.
“This is me,” Milton said.
He put out his hand and Polanski took it.
“Look after the Blancos,” Milton said.
“I got it. They’ll be fine.”
“I know.”
Milton took his hand away, nodded once, and started down the steps that led to the station. He had a short ride to Penn Station. Amtrak’s Palmetto service to Miami was due to leave soon, and he didn’t want to miss it.
