Oberon pulled the door open to the pub and stepped in. A wave of warm air hit him and he smiled. It felt so good against his cold face. He made his way to the bar and sat on an open stool.
Immediately Jael come over with a smile on his face. “Hey, man, how’s it going?”
“Good. An exhausting week, but I’m hanging in there,” he replied.
“That’s all we can ask for sometimes, right? So, what can I get you?” Jael asked.
“I would love a whiskey. Neat, please,” Oberon ordered.
“Coming right up,” Jael said, and tapped his knuckles against the top of the bar once, before he turned and headed off to get Oberon’s drink.
Oberon closed his eyes and ran a hand down his face as he sighed. He really needed to find some way of getting more sleep. Maybe he needed to seriously consider moving out of Fane and Marlo’s. He loved living with his best friend, and he absolutely adored Marlo, but he was missing his sleep. Not that the pair had been responsible for keeping him up this week, but Oberon was sure now that all the visitors had gone home and things would were back to normal around here, that Fane and Marlo would be back to their nightly fuck fests.
“Someone looks like they’ve been rode hard and hung up to dry,” a sexy voice came from beside him.
Oberon opened his eyes as he dropped his hand and looked at who belonged to the voice. He smiled when he saw it was Legion, the guy he and Fane had met in the cabin when they had first come to the York pack almost a month ago. “Hey, man, how’s it going?”
“Great,” Legion said. “So, what has you looking so worn out? Training too hard on you?”
Oberon chuckled, as he shook his head. “No, man, training is going great.”
Just then Jael returned with his drink and placed it on the bar in front of him. “Thanks,” Oberon said, and placed a twenty on the bar. “I’ll have another one and whatever's left from that you can keep.”
“Thanks, man. I’ll get that drink right away,” Jael said, and slid the money from the bar and walked away.
Oberon picked up his glass and downed the whiskey in one gulp, then put the empty glass on the bar.
“Damn, it must have been one hell of a day,” Legion said. “I think you need a better way to handle your stress than drinking.”
Oberon chuckled and looked back at the man. “Like this human shit does anything to us. I just like the way it tastes. And it may not get us drunk, but I do find it helps relax me a bit which I’m hoping will help me sleep.”
Oberon’s brow rose as Legion placed a hand on his thigh. Their gazes met and Oberon could see the heat and desire in Legion’s eyes. “You know, there are better ways to relax,” Legion replied low, his voice dropping an octave where it came out husky, but smooth. Oberon’s cock twitched in approval.
He smirked at the sexy man, lowering his voice, he flirted, “Oh really, and what might they be?”
Legion leaned in, his hand sliding up Oberon’s thigh until that hand cupped his now half-hard cock, and Legion whispered against his ear. “I could bend you over the pool table back there and spank that fine ass of yours until you scream. Then I’ll fuck you senseless until you beg for more. Put you on your knees before me and fuck that sexy mouth of yours.”
Oberon fought hard against the shiver that grew within him and the moan that wanted to come out and let itself be known. This man was too dangerous. As much as Oberon fantasized about the things like Legion had promised, he knew it was wrong to give in to those needs.
Even though deep down he didn’t really want to, Oberon knew he needed to get away from the man as fast as he could. Oberon pulled back and stood. “Thanks, but no thanks,” he grumbled, then turned and headed out the door.
