On the Road with Mallory

  I can’t believe I’m thinking about that trip when I just got back from this one! Going to the Grand Canyon was so, so, so much fun!

  I can’t wait to make a scrapbook of all my great memories from the trip. I’ve already picked out some of my favorite photos.

  I really like these before and after pictures that Mom took of me with Chowder.

  I also really like this picture of Kate and Max and me under the waterfall at the Grand Canyon.

  But I think my favorite picture is this one of Kate and me. Dad took it when we stopped for gas and on the way home.

  We’d been on the road for a long time so we were feeling kind of silly. But I like it because it reminds how much fun we all had together on our trip. Even though there were some bad moments mixed in with the good, it all worked out in the end.

  I can’t believe our vacation to the Grand Canyon is over. I also can’t believe that the summer is almost over too and school is just around the corner

  Souvenirs

  IN MY ROOM MAKING MEMORIES

  In addition to all the great photos and memories I have from our trip to the Grand Canyon, I also have some great souvenirs!

  I have a T-shirt.

  And a snow globe.

  And I have this little baby cactus that I brought back to keep on my nightstand beside my bed. The great news is that I’m not the only one with a baby cactus beside my bed. Max and Kate got them too. And I brought the same ones back for Mary Ann, Chloe Jennifer, and Joey.

  My friends all love their little cacti, but I don’t think they could possibly love theirs as much as I love mine. That’s because every time I look at it, it reminds me how much I loved, loved, loved our trip to the Grand Canyon.
