“I appreciate all you and Lily have done for me.”
Cody lifted up his side of the dresser. “Where are we moving this?”
“Across the room. She wants the bed over here.”
Cody groaned. The room was fine before, but whatever, this was all part of moving in with the woman he loved.

Lily climbed into the bed next to Cody. Her muscles ached. As she curled up next to him, he pulled the covers up around them.
“Our first night together.” He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “We should really be celebrating.”
She yawned. “We should pop some champagne, get drunk, and have wild sex.”
He chuckled. “Did you set the alarm system?”
She gazed up at him. “I did, and I like having you here to remind me. We’re all safely tucked in the house. If the door opens, an alarm will sound.”
“Good. Now I can have my way with you.” He placed a hand over his mouth, covering his yawn.
“Are you tired?”
“Exhausted.”
“You know, we could just go to sleep, and tomorrow morning we could try something new.”
“Oh yeah, what’s that?”
Cody groaned then pulled her tight. “I knew there was a reason why I loved you. There is no better way to start a day than with sex.”
She giggled and snuggled in close as he turned the lamp off on his side of the bed.
“Good night, Cody.”
“Good night, Lily. I love you.”
She leaned up and placed a light kiss on his lips, then buried her head into the crook of his neck. “I love you.”
