“That’s a fabulous idea,” Aunt Lil agreed.
Sara stood chatting with everyone, with Noah’s arm wrapped firmly around her waist. Her heart swelled with happiness. Everything in her life was dropping neatly into place. Her future shone bright, and her life was filled with family, friends, and love.
Robin returned and passed out the drinks, then raised her glass. “To finding love after all these years.”
Noah clinked his glass gently against hers. “To finding love. To realizing I’d found it. And to spending my life with you.” He kissed her then, right in front of everyone.
But she didn’t care. The world faded away for a moment and all she could feel was his lips on hers and the joy sweeping through her.
Noah McNeil loved her.
And she loved him right back.
