She let out a curse as her mate did something particularly wicked that had her eyes rolling back in her head. "God, yes." She needed him to never stop, not ever.
The sensations overran her and Stasia surrendered to them. At some other time she might have felt self-conscious from feeling this much, but Owen brought her the freedom to experience everything with no shame.
He knew what she wanted and he wanted to give it to her. He wanted her writhing above him or beneath him or beside him. Any configuration so long as it was the two of them. He was her partner in every way, her mate.
Did she believe in fate?
Stasia couldn't focus on believing in anything besides Owen's tongue at the moment, but from the intensity of what she was feeling it was impossible to believe this was anything but pre-ordained. It couldn't be possible to feel this much, to love this much, to need this much without some cosmic power pulling the strings somewhere.
Or maybe that was just fanciful dreaming. As another wave of pleasure rolled over her, Stasia couldn't make herself latch onto any one thought.
And then Owen pulled away from her and she wanted to cry out in protest. What did he think he was doing? She needed him.
"Now." That was about all she could manage to say.
But Owen knew what she meant and he guided himself to her entrance, teasing his way in and filling her up just like he was born to do.
She reached out and grabbed his hand, linking their fingers together as he plunged inside of her, their bodies moving together as one.
Owen's eyes slipped to that wolfish yellow, and though Stasia couldn't feel anything, she was sure her own eyes matched his. Her teeth ached and her wolf was rising to the surface, not enough to shift, not without her control, but making her more.
Owen bared his neck and Stasia reared up, biting him just as he'd marked her, claiming him as her mate in the way of wolves.
It was the most natural thing in the world to keep him like this, to come together.
Something settled deep within her, an awareness of Owen that went beyond the spiritual. Mate. Lover. Protector. He was all of those things to her and more.
Forever.
She came with a gasp as Owen emptied into her, the certainty of their connection snapping into place. She had no time to catch her breath as he captured her mouth with hers in a searing kiss.
It was overwhelming and perfect and she wanted to capture this moment forever.
They settled down after a few more fevered kisses, but they couldn't stop touching.
"What do you think we should do tomorrow?" Owen asked as he stroked circles on her tender skin.
Stasia smiled. "More of this. Just the two of us."
Owen chuckled. "Someone's bound to look for us eventually."
"As long as we're together, I'm happy." And she was. For maybe the first time in her life she was really, truly happy, and as long as she had Owen that wasn't about to change.
