I wished I had known how concerned Kit had been about the mixed marriage thing. Early, a lion shifter, made the best mate a witch could ever have. Sure it was lucky that my cousin turned out to be a white tiger—and the prettiest one ever if I might say so—but even if she hadn’t, they could have found their way. If his streak was too hardheaded to accept them, they could have settled down right here in our neck of the woods and had a great time. Angie was still going to have to travel for her business anyway, planned to even when they had cubs, although she might cut it back a bit when they were little.
But, of course, the entire streak fell in love with my beautiful cousin. And she also managed to get over her fear of large shifters, a fear she only shared with me after she found out she was one. Silly girl. There was nothing to make a woman feel safer than a man who could turn into something that could fend off any invaders.
Plus, on cold nights, they were so warm to curl up with. I couldn’t wait for mine to get back from his trip.
All the drama was over with now.
We could plan our girls’ time with lots of tea and cookies and relaxation. I hadn’t seen Zelda in years, but surely even she had mellowed out some as we all had.
Yep, it was going to be a very relaxing time.
