NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
When I started I Am the Wild, I was grieving the loss of my own brother to suicide. When I wrote I Am the Storm, I realized grief comes in waves. So too does healing. And acceptance. And more grief. Healing happens in layers, and it’s complex. More complex than I could include in these books. But as you read this series, know that it comes from a deep place within me. A place of pain and sadness and hope and love and light and darkness. We all have it all within us. We are all bound by the elements of this life. It is my one hope that in addition to entertaining you, this series also inspires you to hold onto hope. To embrace all the parts of yourself, including your shadows. And to live fully. To love deeply, even when it hurts. To not be scared of pain.
