Hopefully, when the war came to an end, life would return to normal. Larry and she would open another hotel, maybe more. No one can ever be sure of the future, however much you plan, but at least this time she wouldn’t be alone to face any problems. She and Larry were a great team, that she knew. Together they would fight to succeed. She, Jessie McGonigall, now Forbes, was never a woman to run from a fight and the Forbes family would prevail. That was a promise!

After leaving school she became a hairdresser on cruise ships the Queen Mary and the Mauretania, meeting many Hollywood film stars and VIPs on her travels.
