The amount of power that pulsed through him at that moment felt like he’d touched a live wire. He closed his eyes as images flashed behind his eyes. Images of him and Joleen traveling to different worlds, seeing amazing new things, flashed quickly behind his eyes. They visited her mother and all her people in their new world, a plush green world full of amazing animals so like their own earth that Mason speculated it was their earth, only thousands of years ago, before human settlements.
They returned home and settled in a new home they’d built outside of Hidden Creek, where Joleen grew large with their first child, a boy, followed by two girls. He continued his studies on the friends, but never published any papers, to keep their secrets, all while advancing the medical benefits of what he’d found over the years and the healing properties of Proxinium.
When Xtina broke contact, Joleen turned to him and smiled.
“Guess this means I’m stuck with you,” she said.
He laughed and hugged her. “Guess so,” he said before kissing her.

Jill comes from a large family with six siblings, including an identical twin.
