I think we all fear
losing someone we love,
which is why we limit
gaining someone to love.
Friend groups shrink
as you grow.
There is nothing wrong
with that.
I write for the dreamers,
and the strong believers,
that we can conquer
our demons,
while wearing flowers
in our hair
and smiles on our faces.
If you told me five years ago
that I would be promoting positivity and chasing dreams,
I would have never
believed you.
I write for the “me”
five years ago,
and for all of you who are or
have been in a similar mindset.
I saved her,
and I hope I can help you, too.
