“Damn,” Dukos muttered, nostrils flaring, “be gainin’.”
“Shit! I’ll give you all my coin if you run,” I spluttered, their voices getting closer and closer. I had no desire to eke out an existence with those four hooligans torturing me left and right.
Hitching me up higher as my hands slammed his back, Dukos grunted, “Deal. Hold on.” And we took off.
