Emily and Steve turned around to find Mathew, Daniel, Jo and a whole flood of faces with huge smiles peeking through the now wide open bathroom doorway.
Steve gently kissed her on the cheek and brushed away more of the tears.
“Duty calls. Do you think you can handle getting married today?” he whispered.
Emily nodded, suddenly feeling a whole hell of a lot better again.
“Okay let’s get this show on the road, sweet baby.”
He winked at her and then threw both hands in the air and headed for his brothers.
“Give me high-five, bros. I’m joining the ranks of fatherhood.”
Cheers and slaps reverberated throughout the bathroom and Emily knew she was the happiest woman in the world.
