We’ve been discovered. I knew this would happen.

Let me at ‘em. I’ll scare ‘em so much they’ll forget where they are.
THE BULLY STOPS TIMELY FROM EXITING.
SCOTT
I’ll take care of this. I got you into this mess and I’ll get you out of it.
SCOTT GRABS HIS BACK PACK AND STARTS TO LEAVE.
I’ll come back Ginger. I promise.
SCOTT EXITS THROUGH THE BACK DOOR OF THE HOUSE AND COMES AROUND TO THE FRONT WHERE HIS MOM AND DAD ARE.
SCOTT
Mom! Dad!
DAD
What are you doing young man?
SCOTT
I lost my book about this house. I thought maybe I might have dropped it here so I came back to try to find it.
In the middle of the night?
SCOTT
I was going to do a report on it for school tomorrow so I had to have it.
DAD
You should have told us about it. One of us would have gladly brought you back here.
SCOTT
I didn’t want to bother you.
MOM
You are never a bother to us.
DAD
Well, so long as you’re okay….
SCOTT
I am.
DAD
Good. That way I can ground you and not feel bad about it.
SCOTT
DAD
Now let’s get home young man.
THEY ALL HEAD OUT. SCOTT TURNS BACK AND SEES GINGER LOOKING OUT A WINDOW. HE WAVES AT HER. SHE WAVES BACK. LIGHTENING BLACKOUT.
EPILOGUE
IT IS NEXT HALLOWEEN. THE HOUSE IS ONCE AGAIN AT IT’S CREEPY BEST. SHADOWS ARE MOVING AROUND, SOUNDS ARE HEARD, ALL IS WELL. BEFORE BLACKOUT WE SEE THAT SCOTT IS HELPING OUT AS ONE OF THE SPOOKS OF THE HOUSE. HE AND GINGER MEET IN ONE OF THE ROOMS GIGGLING AND SHARING A SCARE OVER ONE OF THE PATRONS AS THE LIGHTS GO TO BLACK.
