“Your man is here, River. Better go snatch him before I do!”
River laughed as she teasingly poked the nurse back and rushed over to Ben. He was carrying a coffee for her and a box of doughnuts for the whole team.
“Thought I'd brighten up your night a little bit, my love,” he said as he gave her a soft kiss.
The nurses hooted and hollered as River threw her arms around Ben and kissed him back with everything she had.
“You, Ben Carlton, are all the light I'll ever need.”
