I nodded, took a step back, raised my foot and kicked the door with all of my might. Whoom! The door flew inward and nearly came off the hinges. Then, Paper ran past me with his gun out. There was a loud scream from inside as I gathered myself.
“Everybody get the fuck down. This the one and only time I’mma say it!” Paper hollered, rushing toward the bed.
I ran in right behind him, ready to go into action until I looked out at the couple and was able to identify the man. My heart dropped into my stomach and I felt like I could no longer breathe as I watched Paper grab him by the neck before slapping him across the face with his pistol, causing his blood to skeet across the headboard. He flew backward as Paper grabbed him again and jammed his pistol to his forehead, cocking the hammer.
Aaliyah jumped out of the bed and slid her hand underneath it, coming up with a key. “Y’all gotta kill him or we all fucked. It ain’t gon’ matter because I got the key to his safe, so we good.” She ran around to me and got ready to kiss me on the cheek as I stood frozen in place, unable to move by the sights of him.
Paper grabbed a big pillow and placed it over his face, putting the barrel of his gun against it, I imagined ready to blow his brains all over the mattress while he laid there, barely moving, weak from the attack. “Say yo’ prayers, white man.”
I snapped out of my zone and ran toward the bed with haste. “Bruh, wait, don’t kill ‘em! That’s my father!”
