“Me.” I raise my hand. A five-carat pink diamond sparkles from the crucial finger.
“Girl!” Everybody's squealing at once.
“It's the September meeting of the Las Vegas chapter of the Sugar Mama Seekers,” I say.
“I take my duties very seriously, and a president's first duty is to provide leadership.” My second duty is to milk the moment for every possible ounce of drama. I use my left hand to curl around the daiquiri glass. The pink diamond matches the pink drink.
Pink diamonds are indeed the rarest. Jessica and I ended up flying to Amsterdam to locate exactly the right stone.
“Looks like I'm the winner,” I say. “The first girl to get engaged to a billionaire. Who's next?”
