The fog around her mind disappeared in a flash and her body locked up, not believing what her eyes were seeing. Blade sensed her reaction and pulled back. Wild, passion-filled eyes met hers, holding a question.
Tears filled her eyes as she stared at green Human eyes instead of obsidian Av eyes. It wasn’t Blade at all, but the Human Lock she’d been accused of killing. Her gaze darted to the wrist comm her hand was clutching. He’d used a distorter, a highly illegal device to change his identity.
She’d been lied to, manipulated.
“Who are you?” she whispered.
