His arms tightened around her and determination erased the lingering doubt. “Hold on to me, Tru. I’ve got you and I’m never letting go.”
She pressed her face into the nook of his neck and shoulder, loving her man so much that it was wondrous that her heart would expand enough to love a child, too. But she knew it would. The heart was a resilient and miraculous organ. Even hearts that were scarred, bleeding, and had barbed wire and walls wrapped around them like Levi Wolfe’s. She’d busted through those walls, torn aside the barbed wire, and had claimed his wounded heart. She knew his heart as well as she did her own and knew that he would be astounded at the love he’d feel for their child. Their children.
Parting her thighs, she released a purring moan that was joined by his growl of her name when he slipped inside her. Now, they would change their hope for a child into their reality.
