“It’s Reagan. Everything’s in place. As you suspected, Alice doesn’t have a clue about any of it. She won’t have her vision much longer, either. Once it’s gone, you can eliminate her.”
There are several seconds of silence, and then he continues:
“Yes, the Shadow Mirror is on its way. Morgan and the others should expect its arrival soon. We are so close, Russell. Only a handful of them remain. The Shadow Priests will prevail.”
Bill—or Reagan—ends the call and steps out of the frame.
Jaramillo stops the playback and leans back in the chair. “Anyone have a clue as to what he’s talking about?”
Conversation ensues, but my mind is far beyond these walls. There are so many questions that need answers and only two people in the world that can help me find them. Neither of them is in this room.
With Rico’s and my father’s help, I’m certain I can locate and take down the Shadow Priests. However, there’s one question that outweighs all the others and must be answered before I can move forward.
How do I get Father out of the St. Thomas Psychiatric Center?
