Klavon had no use for the Valley of Wizards or for the opinions of wizards long dead. However, the flash of red did intrigue him. Never would he have truly suspected that his curse could have influenced the outcome, even with the additional potion Sira had delivered. Yet…the curse had taken its hold well…quite well indeed.
“You have done well,” he said. “Go, prepare for when he arrives. You know what to do.”
Sira backed out of his room as she always did, and he walked to the window and looked out over the mire toward where Miora was.
“It won’t be long, my sweet, and you will be mine.”
