They made a beautiful picture, gathered together under the leaves, the varying reds of their hair contrasting with the green and blending into each other. Some day soon he would have them painted together, just like that. His family. And he felt a completeness that he had never felt before as he put down the brush, wiped his hands on a cloth and went to join them.
