Mel frowned. “I’m not sure she can afford that. Room and board was part of her pay, so she doesn’t have to stress. I’m sure we can work it out.”
“We know some of the people who rent out places. We can strike a deal so she can build a clientele.” Dale stroked her hair and pulled out a bobby pin.
She took it from him and groaned. Yawning, she started plucking them out of her hair. “There are dozens of these. We can ask Gretchen what she’d prefer.”
“You could rent out your place in Michigan if the market sucks there.” Ryan crawled into bed.
“Maybe. I still need to get my stuff. Right now, I need to sleep. I already have five requests for dresses from the reception alone.” She yawned again, grabbed Jason’s arm, and pulled his naked form into the bed.
Dale hugged her tight. “You were a fabulous maid of honor.”
“I think you were the best best man ever. Now turn out the lights. Nap first, sex to celebrate the New Year later.” She poked Dale’s shoulder. “We’re starting this year and relationship off right—very hot!”
The three left in the bed cuddled together as the lights went out. Dale joined them. She finally felt at ease. She had let go of her fears and embraced her future.
