“I wanna be so deep inside you, Cora. I’m going to make you take every drop.” I was getting so close. Fuck. I didn’t want her to stop, but I needed to be inside her. Now. “Baby, come on. Ride me.”

“I didn’t think this was possible either.” But every step I’d taken since we’d divorced had been with the intent of becoming a better man than the one she’d divorced, so maybe subconsciously I had believed there was a chance the love of my life would come back to me.
“I hate that we had to hurt each other,” she said, her voice soft. “But I love that we got to make things right.”
“And things are so fucking right right now,” I said, curling my arm around my head so my fingers could sift through her hair. “I can’t imagine them getting much better.”
She winked as a slow smile stretched her full lips. “I can… Daddy.”
