I grinned at our audience as I hopped out of the car. Almost took a bow. Then, unable to keep the ridiculous smile from my face, I took Paddy’s hand as he held his out to me, and off we sailed. Confidently, heads high, to the cosy, packed little restaurant off the saloon bar, but luckily to a corner table, where we wouldn’t be overheard, and where we could chatter away to our hearts’ content, maybe even hold hands over coffee, but most definitely, for all the world to see.
