  “Me either. I was a bit surprised though when the cops didn’t even bat an eyelash at me shooting him,” I say with a lift to my brow.

  “Like I said sis, some things are better unanswered.”

  I laugh and nod my head. “Okay, I’ll let it go. For now.”

  “Tell me about yourself now? What’s going on in my sister’s life? I see that big rock on your hand. What’s that about?” he asks.

  I just smile for a minute. “Remember in your last letter? You said once I find someone who is real, it’ll make me understand why it didn’t work out in the past?”

  He nods his head.

  “Someone who I love with my whole heart. And he loves me back with all of his as well. Someone who would put themselves on the line for me. As I would them. Well, I found that someone. And I’m going to be his wife,” I smile with tears in my eyes. My own happily ever after. Finally, I’ll get my own family.
