I want to help Mykel bring his family home, or at the very least, to find out what happened to them, and honestly . . . being alone with him for a few months isn’t exactly punishment. God, I can only imagine how incredibly delightful that will be. Fuck knows we deserve it after everything that has happened in the last few months.
Mykel slides a hand up my leg and turns to me with a feral grin. “Enough about that. What do you say we finish what we started?”
I grin back. “Well, I mean, what else are we going to do out here while we wait?”
His smile gets bigger, and I love seeing it. I love the way it makes his eyes light up. The way it makes his face softer.
Seeing his smile makes everything inside me feel good.
I love it.
I love everything about him.
What more could a girl ask for in this very moment?
Oh right, to finish what we started.
