“What the fuck,” Erica gasped. “Why…?”
“The why,” Frank answered, “is that you have become a potential liability…I need to move on.”
“Me…?”
“Yes you,” Frank answered firing the second round into Erica’s left kneecap. As she crumbled to the floor, a silent scream on her lips, Frank continued with, “Oh you have been useful as was Jack, but it was time to end our relationship before garnering real attention. Look at it as me closing the missing female cases for my company.”
“No complaints now. You wanted three rounds,” Frank said checking to make sure Erica was dead, “and that’s what I gave you.”
Cleaning the untraceable pistol with a handkerchief he dropped it on the bed and began to go through Erica’s purse. As he suspected, she had a small girl gun. But that was not what he was looking for. Another few seconds and he found the cured skin pouch he knew the twisted bitch carried with her. The bizarre memento would make a good keepsake to remind him of the case.
Pocketing the pouch, Frank swept the room again and then cleaned his fingerprints off the doorknob. He would stay the night in the hotel and checkout at a normal time in the morning. By the time the staff got up enough gumption to bypass the “Do Not Disturb” sign he would be long gone.
After a good night’s sleep, he would fly back to Miami and spend a few lost days on South Beach. This side of the Baronesa’s resort, there was nothing like pleasurably taking in the plethora of females there strolling, posing and sunning bait naked.
The End
